2023/24 Sean Dyche

That's the thing with Sean "all I have is Plan A" Dyche though, there is no real adjustment of ideas. When there's no Doucoure in the side, he hasn't got a clue what to do. Evidenced in this game, just as it was last season when he had the ban. Virtually every week its 451, same personal, same system, same tactics, same subs, same times. Not exactly the definition of adjustment; although today was the exception with the switch to back 5 to get his son in the team.

He's a reactionary, set-in-his-ways, always-done-it-this-way-so-will-never-change, manager. Over the course of 38 games it'll more often than not get enough points to get the job done, and the bottom line is ultimately all that matters. Today was just another example of Dyche being absolutely schooled from start to finish by a manager/team that plays front-foot, dominating, attacking football and he had no clue how to deal with it, and was second best as per most of his career.

The fans might dwell on today's performance, but Dyche wont give it a second thought because there's 18 more opportunities to pick up points and we should be able to get enough of them doing what we normally do.

we’re both suited sadly. he’s here to keep us afloat

I don't know why anybody cares if he will be good enough in the future, or about over analysing what he does

We need to avoid relegation for a season or two more, that's about it

He seems to be doing okay against that target as far as I can see, including the see-sawing between decent and terrible I expected with much more of the decent than I had hoped for in the summer

We were close to the worst team in the league for two seasons running and somehow stayed up, what's so unusual about today's game?

I tend to think Keane will be the hill Dyche dies on, the same way Lampard died on the 5-2-3 hill, why are these highly paid managers so desperate to cause themselves aggro with things that everyone can see clearly doesn`t work.

If Dyche wants to continue with Keane I`d happily wave him off now, we all know what that leads to...
Keane played 45 minutes between the end of August and the Burnley game on 16th December and that was in the game at Anfield when we went down to 10 men. He’s hardly played and when Doucoure is back, he’ll probably hardly get any game time again unless there are more injuries.

Non in some of our fans eyes, he’s the man for next few years, great manager, one of the best in the premier league I got told on here this morning. And when he gets some money he will change his style
Under the circumstances, he’s doing very well, we’d be done and dusted after the deduction under our last few managers.

Doing well I’d say not very well. And we wouldn’t really because the bottom 3 are worse than last season, yes we might be on less points than 16 but we wouldn’t be out of sight
I think being on course for ~50 points without the deduction is a very good job after being in the 30’s for the last couple of seasons but we have to make sure the second half of the season doesn’t drop off. Hopefully getting back to around one game a week will help things.

Will be all about keeping clean sheets because we don’t score goals

Doucoure wasnt available for spurs and he never played him. And the performance was 100 times better than today.
Just stop picking him unless we are down to the bare bones. Keane is a opposition teams dream.

Full strength in every cup game for me, our club needs to grow a set of balls and want to win games rather than want not to lose.
Cups are our biggest chance of success and we should be going full tilt at both league and FA cup each season.
Stop thinking we are a relegation squad asap.
But until we’re not, we are.

He made a mistake with the starting line up, but not making adjustments is what hurts us. The whole first half showed we needed to change. It took till 3-0 to do it. The other night against city, they overran our left flank in the beginning of the second half and he didn’t adjust until 1-2. I’m not against Dyche, he’s done well with what we’ve got. But needs to learn to adjust faster during a match.
