Dyche will be gone by Easter.

I'd love this to be wrong by the way. I've no doubts Dyche seems a really decent man. But I fear modern football at this level is different.
You are absolutely 100% wrong, and not just because we can’t afford to sack another manager.

We’ve played 18 teams once and Wolves twice and we’re on track for Dyche bringing in about 50 points after two seasons of last minute escapes from relegation.

Not just points though, but performances. Wolves away and Villa away were very bad games. I’d argue every other game could’ve been won or at least drawn given the chances we created (and some terrible officiating in some games as always).

We’ve played well this season. I’d argue the last time we played this consistently well was under Martinez 1st season.

Agree to disagree then. I appreciate they are best in class but games against the better teams in the league are a joke. Wolves is the tip of the iceberg. Forget the last two seasons that was Lampard and Benitez.

We achieved 56 points under Carlo Ancellotti in the whole of the 2020 calendar year.
If Dyche is on track to achieve close to 50 points in the 2023 calendar year(excluding 10 point deductions) then that’s pretty good going against the total achieved by one of the managerial greats of the global game.
I am not a great fan of the football we are playing but some of it is similar to games we played under Carlo…football is about winning games and Dyche has got us winning.
Billy Bingham nearly won the league for us in 1975 playing a very rigid system and his team described as robots. Evertonians were (and still are) traumatised by the loss of that opportunity when it was in our hands…we got beat by relegated Carlisle twice ffs!!!

Maybe arsenal and Luton at home too but with a bit of a bigger squad games like yesterday become fewer and far between you can see what he is trying to achieve so I'm with you he's going nowhere soon

So you’re saying we’re playing 1975 football in 2023

The problem now is that it's 6 weeks until we play our next "winnable" game.

That could very easily become a real problem very soon for The Gaffer.
The Villa game is winnable. Dyche has to stop sabotaging himself, though. The Fulham game is also winnable. As is Spurs. City, not so much.

But that was the Covid year the season stopped in the march, came back in like June to empty stadiums, think we had injuries as I remember Gordon and even Branthwaite were getting games.

That Callander year we played 33 league games. This year we’ve played 38
