When we’re truly counter attacking, forcing mistakes high up the pitch and creating chances, that’s just as exciting to me as watching a club like Brighton.

We haven’t been like that for a few weeks. It started with not finishing chances, the past few matches it’s actually lack of chance creation. It stems from absences and lack of options in the midfield 4/5. We lack talent in the wings, consistency in CM and the issues up top are well known.

Yep that is true. The ratio from attempts to attempts on target has dropped a fair bit. We were averaging 8/9 on target earlier on. Thats dropped to 4/5. The attempts off target is still scary.

I wouldn’t necessarily agree with the last part and next seasons challenge

Assuming we stay up, the likelihood seems we have very little if any money to spend and have plenty of contracts ending,

As such there’s no guarantee we will be any better off as a squad, maybe we could be weaker.

If that’s the case I would say his challenge is the same as this season. Get enough points to be above three other teams, whatever way you see fit

I don’t think majority want him here long term or need him “progressing” things on the pitch in this period. They want him to keep us up. That’s all.

Let the building of something new happen if we manage to get new owners who don’t actually make things worse. Which also doesn’t seem a given.

(In fact the strong possibility we may be both broke for a while AND still in a precarious position in regards to the ownership makes me think even more strongly that the fans acting like the current situation for the club is normal and calling for a new manager and more entertainment are really not seeing how bad things are, which I understand in a way, easier not to worry about it all and just focus on complaining about the footy and the manager.)

You are very much correct. Forgive me of a dreaming of a world in which Everton continue to get better season on season. If only it were that simple.

Oh I’m no different, it’s just my dreams start in BMD under a new manager and a bit of money

Reality might be that is way too soon and we will be a while yet slogging it out in the bottom half…..if not relegated

but thats the thing. He should be able to set up a system where when Myko pushes forward, someone is covering for him. But even when both he and McNeill have the ball on the wing, they don't seem to know how to play together so...
McNeill gets the ball and instead of darting behind him, myko stays on his defensive side. McNeill passes to Myko who passes to gana or Tarkowsky who looks to see if theres a right winger available but there never is so it goes through a combo of garner/branthwaite/godfrey before going back to Pickford who smashes it up to our lone striker who cant get on it and the opposition build.
When we're not defending, thats about 60% of our game. 10%more is trying to kick it off someone to win a throw or corner.

At one point in the first half against Brighton Tarkowski had a lovely cross field pass to Myko who was in space, he then put in a great cross.
These players are well capable of playing better football, theyre just coached not to.
Yep, and even when Pickford launches it and DCL wins a header, there is rarely one of our midfielders reading the game and making a run beyond DCL..

Just make it up if it makes you feel better.
Newcastle was a tight game we scored 3 in the last 10. Yes the last goal was good but it was in injury time and the Newcastle players. Probably just wanted to get off the pitch. Brentford we dersvered to win, but at 1-1 they miss a great chance, could have easily changed. The spurs game it took a worldie from
Keane 25yrds out to get a point, great result but we weren’t knocking the door down

Burnley, a terrible team by the way. We scored 2 from corners. And 2nd half we sat back and seen the game out, we certainly didn’t batter them for 90mins

We beat Villa in the league cup they rested 6 of their best players. One of the best players was playing out of position at left back. I’d rather have got points in the league the month, when we lost 4-0.

Why are you going out of your way to justify your dislike for Dyche by trying to convince people that our bigger/better results this season aren't all that they seem?

Newcastle was a tight game... we just happened to score 3. That's a classic, thanks for that.

Brentford had a chance to score. So what? I've lost count of the number of chances we've missed which could easily have changed a game in our favour. It happens - we're not going to keep every team at arms length for 90 mins.

Burnley are crap and we scored from corners. Are goals from corners worth less?

Villa rested players, and it wasn't the league, so not the same.

This is just agenda driven nonsense.

The chances created table, from open play we will be bottom 6 imo. As the majority of our chances are from set pieces.
Exciting as Brighton 🤣🤣🤣
And if we’re a counter attacking team then surely dyche has to play dobbin a lot more. As McNeil and Harrison are slow, especially McNeil he constantly turns back on the counter and never tries to take a player on
