The chances created table, from open play we will be bottom 6 imo. As the majority of our chances are from set pieces.
Exciting as Brighton 🤣🤣🤣
And if we’re a counter attacking team then surely dyche has to play dobbin a lot more. As McNeil and Harrison are slow, especially McNeil he constantly turns back on the counter and never tries to take a player on

Here's the actual chances created table:

And while we're on the subject of random tables to try and further agendas, here's the 'hit the woodwork' table:

We create plenty of chances, we just don't put away as many as we should.

Who's arsed if they come from open play or not?

We don’t from open play. As no goal in 10 wil tell you that and every team at the bottom has plenty of hard luck stories. Palace missing their 4 best players, created chances to win that game v us . And as had been pointed out are cache creation is dropping, because teams are set up to nullify our main threats. Big centre backs sometimes 3 and trying to stop are set pieces.

We do. We just don't score them.

Stay up get rid in the summer and move on from thinking he’s the best we can get nonsense!

Give him 10 new players and we will play the same way!
Embarrassing our fans. Just like kenwright putting Martinez’s picture on the side of goodison for finishing 5th. John moores sacked a manager for finishing 4th

As a fan base we need to be more like Moore’s and less like kenwright.

And imagine thinking dyche will change his style 🤣🤣🤣 didn’t they watch Burnley for 10yrs

Brighton didn't look very exciting against us.

I don't know if Dobbin is the answer, but yes we need more speed out wide.

Surely there's a middle ground in the Sean Dyche debate? It seems like almost every fan is either totally behind him or totally against him.

I think he's done well with the tools at his disposal and the state of the club behind the scenes. Other clubs with troubles off the pitch have collapsed in recent history, like Aston Villa, Newcastle and Leicester. Everton could've done the same, and we may still go down, but we're giving ourselves every opportunity of staying up. The players aren't the most gifted bunch in the world but never once this season have I thought they didn't put a shift in.

But it would also be naive to suggest Dyche doesn't have a glass ceiling, and nobody can seriously deny that Everton are one of the worst sides to watch in the league?

There has to come a time in the near future, not necessarily this Summer, when Everton say thank you and move on. Because like Burnley, this sort of football will only see you right in this league for so long. Look at how badly we've fallen off with Doucoure out.

I think it just depends who Everton could attract to the club, no crazy gambles like a manager that's just had a good few months.

To be honest, I've seen plenty suggest that Dyche is good for the here and now (which I agree with), but the Dyche out folk seem to interpret that as us saying Dyche is our saviour and we want him here for years to come.

There are most definitely limitations to what can be achieved with Dyche in charge, and once we get to the point where he's taken us as far as he can, we move on.

Currently, he's got us earning more points per game than the previous 2 seasons. This is improvement. Therefore, in my opinion, we'd be silly to replace him now.

Lampard was a poor manager, but he lost doucoure 2nd game of last season v villa, he was left with 2 kids , garner and Onana who’d never played in the prem. tom Davies was getting games, nobody used the doucoure excuse for Frank

How is it that people have seemingly forgotten the past with good old Marco?

I hope it was Marco... my memory isn't all that either when it comes to Everton ... I purposefully have blocked much of it out - it's exactly the same here (or wherever it was in recent past).

We're set up well vs teams that want to commit players forward/attack.
We don't set up differently against teams who sit with 9 or 10 behind the ball... and this is our downfall.

Overlapping fullbacks would go a big way to changing tactics in the case of the latter.

We also aren't blessed with 3 or 4 who can knock one in from 25 yards on the regular... case in point I don't think DCL has scored with his feet from outside the box much if ever.

I'd also say we've been a smidge unlucky re: woodwork... 14 times is a lot.

Our wingers are glorified full backs. Our 2 midfielders sit in and our no10, which is usually reserved for the most creative player in a team, is a pressing machine that puts himself about. All that leaves our striker isolated and we play hoof ball too much. It's football by numbers, no spark no creativity and I dont think it would change if he had better quality players. He's going nowhere this season but I'd hope Thelwell is looking for a manager with a more modern and proactive approach.
