Is it much better? Really. I dont think there is a massive difference tbh. I dont think the luton manager could get the Everton players playing any different.
I think theres a bit horses for courses. Luton have a lot of young players who are inexperienced so he kind of lets them just play. We've got cloggers who are more structured by the manager as letting them just play would be suicide.
I Dont think dyche is holding anyone back. I dont think they're good enough to play expansive football. Not from what ive seen anyway.

Mate ,
Their 2cm’s and there striker get into our team maybe … the rest of Luton are championship players

He never did the 2nd part in 10yrs at Burnley, what makes you think he’s doing it at Everton
I think he'll ultimately be given more resources / cash to spend and that will be the point at which we'll find out.

I'm not sure too many managers have been successful in the Premiership without significant spending

We’ve been prioritising survival for at least 20years now.
In the process the Everton I started watching in the 60s has gradually dissipated and vanished.
We are generally viewed as an irrelevant club , expected to finish somewhere mid table usually playing a form of limited football.
I stress this precedes Dyche by decades , he is just the latest in line of ‘survival’ managers.
Personally I feel as long we continue we prioritiise survival over everything else we will never recover what we have lost.
We have become a cowardly club , desperate to retain our top league status at all costs.
Football should be about the pursuit of excellence with ambition and risk.
Everton have ossified into a nothing club and that is a betrayal of the traditions of this once great and storied club.
But it remains an excuse for a few beers with family and friends every couple of weeks so that’s ok , right ?
nil satis nisi optimum

So was the league stronger or weaker last season? What makes the league 'poor' this season? It's just a random comment designed to make the manager look worse, imo.

Why should we be finishing in those positions? There is no reason other than a feeling, or hunch. There are no absolutes, except we finished 4th bottom last year, and now we're sitting mid table in terms of points gained.

I think most of us see him as a temporary measure, as every manager should be. If we become boss again and he plays too conservatively, or under performs when we have a few bob, he'll be gone. If he doesn't walk beforehand.

I've not seen, or heard any 'hero' comments. Quite the opposite, really.
Do you think Leeds and Leicester are worse than Luton, sheff Utd and Burnley also start of last season Lampard had a worse team. Our best 11 is better than bottom 3, Forest, Brentford, Bournemouth and palace imo

Well he spent roughly 200mil at Burnley over the years ok he pulled a lot back in for sales but his last 2 big striker signings were Weghorst and Chris wood. His first big striker singing for everton Beto, see a pattern?

Do you really trust him to actually buy better footballers, if he was given 100mil from the sales of Onana and branthwaite???
Because I don’t. It will be more
McNeil’s he probably buys Harrison and it will be more full backs that can’t go forward

Which is reflective of the table. They've scored more goals than Everton but conceded far more.
I dont think it takes a lot to find more creative players in other teams. Id love to say different but we're packed to the rafters with mediocre players. Asking them to play a more expansive style would be suicide. Unfortunately.
But i come back to the strikers. We all know they're not prolific but they're taking the piss with 4 goals between them. Just a few more than that pathetic return and we'd be so more comfortable. And they've had chances. None of this they dont get any service. They've had them.

You cannot compare Leeds and Leics to Luton, Burnley etc, because they are in a different division, playing a different standard of opponent.

Our team finished below Forest, Brentford, Bournemouth and palace last season, this season we're above them, which by your reckoning we should be. I'm struggling to see what your point is? Obviously, you simply don't like the manager, but what aspects of his overall performance are you unhappy with?

I did say that in the message you responded to, but it isn't black and white. He is not immune to some criticism even if he has got some things right. The only game I will get to Goodison for this season(Palace) had me watching DCL win header after header with no runners off him taking a chance, at home. That's shocking to me. If he wants to play that style and make use of Dom that way, there has to be some bravery. You mentioned our away form improving and you're right, but our home form is terrible, both attributable to Dyche's style of play.

He has credit in the bank as we've both said, but we need to be a little less Dyche's Burnley asap
The sad thing for dyche, he will never ever manage a club of Everton’s size again, this was his chance to prove he wasn’t a one trick pony and a long ball merchant, which has been narrative Around him for years
He’s failing miserably

Honestly don't buy all the big club narrative. We're probably luckier to have him than he is us at this point. We were a basket case when he arrived and we are still are now thanks to the off the field mess.

I don’t like him, because he shouldn’t be our manager. I’ve been a fan for 50 yrs and 70% of this site seem quite happy to have him around for the next few years and play anti football and finish around 13th/14th.

It's very sad how far we’ve fallen and fans accept it
Who should be our manager mate? Pep?

Dyche didn't appoint himself and the reason we've come to appoint him, which I'm sure he's acknowledged, is only due to circumstances. Namely we've been badly run, ridiculously short-sighted and lacking strategy, and latterly in the poop.

Maybe turn the anger elsewhere?
