2023/24 Sean Dyche

....two teams we list to at home last season. I think ‘we laid a finger’ on Fulham, we were much better than them. I think today could‘ve gone either way, Villa away was atrocious.

it’s an dreadful start but if it’s ‘stick or twist’ with Dyche I’d certainly stick.
Fulham was a lot of huff and puff; I couldn’t really see a pattern of play.

Again the same today, a lot of running and part pressing but no real pattern.

Not to blame for me today, and I think he's well rubbs

Cost the game by poor finishing, poor recruitment and a 38 year old seasoned professional being absolutely awful.
Pretty sure that Dyche wanted his old team mate on board. I'm not sure he's completely uninvolved in the Young signing.

….I’d certainly not be thinking of sacking him. When the club is very sick it ultimately manifests itself on the pitch. We’re in an abyss and I don’t see more managerial turmoil making things any better.

Like him or loathe him, i reckon he’ll continue to be our manager for the foreseeable.
I think we need to give him time until after the transfer window. Hopefully in a few weeks, Harrison and DCL will be fit, and and additional recruits will have bedded in, but I have to say outside of the crap hand he has been dealt in terms of signings, i just though he would make us more solid. He has disappointed me if I am being honest, so whilst I agree now is not the time, it ain’t going to be far away if this continues.

…I think there‘s a pattern but there’s a real lack of quality in attacking positions. We get into promising situation & we get players forward but there’s a real lack of quality to take advantage of the openings we make.

Mcneil? His deliveries in the main are just the same aimless long punts.

I think as a football fan, it would be nice if .ore than one player could actually whip a ball into
an area that isn't too close to the keeper whilst at the same time puts defenders on the back foot. Thats what players actually get paid for and train for week in week out.

It's quite funny that you actually assume the only other player in the whole of the Everton squad who can put a ball in is Mcneil so it's not really anyone else's fault if the balls in are terrible as he's the designated set piece man for everything.
Harrison would be another one

3 games no goals

Creating some chances but not enough. When the big one comes along we arent even threatening to score.

Slightly unlucky on the offside, but otherwise, absolutely nowhere near good enough

We haven't scored a goal in 3 winnable games. Pretty obvious where the issues lie. Our forwards do not carry goal threat.

You can still be threatening and not score goals?

Unfortunately the book stops with the manager.

The board have sabotaged him at every turn but he's an absolute yes man and a rubbish boards wet dream.

I didn't want him in the first place, there's a very real reason why teams didn't take a chance on him when he was "doing a great job" at Burnley.

His footies crap and he got saved last season by realising he was sabotaging himself by playing his son.

Mina singlehandedly saved him and our club.

I would've binned him the minute we were safe and put in a manager that could actually make us better with a full pre season to instil his style. Now we're stuck, if we bin him after we inevitably lose against Sheffield Utd it's gonna take a month for the board to decide who they want and another for the manager to get the players how he wants them.

By that point we're into December which is the worst run of the season and probably on about 5 points.

This is it. I think we're gone. There's not 3 worse teams in the league if it stays as it is.

Praying Harrison, McNeil and any signings make a colossal impact but this being Everton, we know how this ends.
