2023/24 Sean Dyche

The concern I have now is the morale and confidence level of the team, playing for 270 mins not scoring a goal, knowing that if you concede you are likely to lose. I knows down to the same players, but confidence must be rock bottom and it’s only three games in…..relegation potentially becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. I just think of Leicester last season, really poor start, with the players they have they recovered to an extent and just lost their way again, but it was their start that really killed them.

The board poorly mismanaged the squad building. Dyche poorly managed the on field tactics. Playing for 1-0 and then failing to get 1 doesn’t get you very far. Always feel like we are going to concede and no chance of fighting back. Protests will resume, changes in the back will occur and Dyche will also be gone. Like I said earlier, he is partially to blame.

I get the frustration with tactics. It’s week 3 and most of the characters performing the same way. Too early in my opinion

I fully expect the sucker punch though at all times though because we are rubbish on the transition at home under Dyche

I'd wager no one any good would touch us with a barge pole at this time

…ha, ha. What you mean is nobody famous or successful would join us but that doesn’t mean ‘no one any good’ would join us. There’ll be plenty of aspiring managers out there who would jump at the chance of coming to Everton. i often think there‘s a lot of luck involved, right man, right place, right time.

Anyway, we should be sticking with Dyche as far as I’m concerned.

it’s pretty much this

It’s not sustained pressure, more of the odd chance appearing. In the first 20 minutes we were running around loads but not once did we pepper the goal

Managers never change , their tactics very rarely evolve especially when they become a bit older and ser in their ways.

Watching Moyes Wham sit so deep and protect a 1 nil and conceed possession against Brighton is just like watching Moyes Everton albeit Wham have a couple of decent game changers.
Fat Sam's teams are always the same and Dyche doesn't change either. You know what you get with these guys and it's not pretty and if we fail to win it's bloody ugly.

I’m not thrilled with Dyche but I would have picked the same team and probably made the same sub of Chermiti for Dobbin so I can’t really conclude it would be fair to criticise him.

Surely not having players who can finish is the definition of a lack of goal threat!

Anyway, we need goalscorers - multiple. Not just 1. Otherwise we are doomed. Thats no me saying we are doomed, just that we will be without recruitment

He needs to win game to survive, can you predict our next victory? Even at your optimistic best?
