2023/24 Sean Dyche

If he wasn't already playing for us he wouldn't make a squad in the top 2 divisions based on his current physical condition

He left with 8 games to go in 2022.

If Burnley were to have their time again I reckon they’d rather Dyche had a go at the games that followed.

Dyche’s time at Burnley can’t be faulted. No transfer fees or investment, provincial town, small stadium. He presided over Burnley’s modern glory days. Sold their key striker to their relegation contenders in January.

Success to different teams means different things.
With the benefit of hindsight they would have sacked him sooner not later and likely stayed up as a result.

If you want to retire from your club how can you still be arsed about playing for Ireland??? Has any player ever retired from club football but carried on at international level.
You wouldn't have a choice, I can't imagine any International manager coming to watch you kick a ball around with your kid in the garden..
You Retire from club football, You Retire..
Tho I expect he'll still be around the club in some capacity..

I don’t think he’s physically up to it any more mate.

I believe he was going to retire last season but was swayed.
The club will probably have to sway him to stay on again or else it will be at least 3 keepers on the bench next season the way things are going

Wow all of those 1 min cameos and Simms' starts in games where we defended with 10 and expected him to somehow magically do it all on his own 50 feet away from a teammate.

What a chance.

Fair enough...

He hasn’t played dobbin really and he didn’t really play Simms. I think he will be gone this summer, why keep ?? Especially if we sell Onana and Branthwaite and others. I don’t want him having an influence on signing players like Harrison

I think its just a case of his deal lasting another season till we have the new stadium and whoever comes in not wanting us relegated.

Im not sure whether new owners bring someone in or not but id like to think our signings are by the DOF not Dyche.

Garner was hardly near the team before he arrived either.

Hes given more young lads a shot then any manager in beards.

Lampard played Patterson which is my main gripe with Dyche.

I also agree with others that our wide players could have come out and we should have seen more of Chermiti than a few mins here and there

He doesnt like to take chances.

Weird even by the usual standards.

We've given youth players 56 minutes this year also just so that it's on record.

21/22/23 year olds should be playing regularly, not being unused because of Ashley Young.
For the sake of being correct - it's not 56 minutes given to U20s anymore as this was up to the end of February.

It's actually a much more massive 66 minutes now, after a month and a bit of games, and they're all on Chermiti in his 12 appearances all season.

Fair chance and all, right?

I think you’re being very naive, if you think dyche wont have an influence on signings
