Didn’t we go like 20 games without a win also ?

In a 38 game season you’d have to get over 18 wins for that not to be the case. So basically any manager in the PL who hasn’t got above 54 points also had that stat. He did pick up a team that had been in a relegation battle, was in another one, lost his best attacker before he even arrived, received two points deductions after staying up and hasn’t really been backed by any meaningful transfer whatsoever. But yeah let’s expect him to go from 36 points to 54 in one season.

It’s amazing.

I think what he achieved last year alone should be enough to give him time.

2 points deductions hanging over the clubs head for most of the season. All the financial uncertainty and the need to sell players/reduce the wage bill dramatically over the last few seasons.

People seem unable to put it all into perspective.

‘Why aren’t we playing like the top 3 teams in the country?’

There's people who hero worship an utter waster like Ferguson - who near had us relegated one season with his indiscipline and absenteeism - and who denigrate a man like Dyche who stood tall to be counted in a season when the English game's authorities and media were DETERMINED to see us into the Championship.

It's unbelievable the way some people think.

Dyche seems to think a couple of “Gaffer” days and the players are fit.

Doesn’t seem to have any understanding of sports science. Surely some one from the sports science side of things must be advising him on how to load the players and get them up to optimum conditions.

We’ve never looked fit under Dyche. Which won’t be help with his reluctance to use any substitutions too.
Are we watching the same games?

The difference in fitness last season over previous was immense. We looked stronger throughout the whole game and didn't stop playing for the entire playing time.

I think there are a lot of agendas against Dyche which are totally unwarranted.

Definitely, in this matter we improved. We had one of the highest distance covered of all teams and Dyche style is very intensive to play.

Barely any cramps on the pitch, muscle injuries, injuries in general luckily, sometimes bad tactical instructions that cost games in the end (Brighton away), but I rarely had the feeling we were fighting knocked out in the last moments of a game.

When it comes to "intensity load control", hopefully u know this word in English, the staff did a good job.

Took on a job that Bielsa turned his nose up at even though he knew he wasn’t first choice. Less than half a season left with difficult fixtures remaining including a nightmare start. One of the poorest squads in the league already behind much stronger relegation rivals like Leicester. Crazy owner, finances in a mess, Gordon sold before he arrived, fans and players clashing.

Takes it all on, doesn’t complain, keeps us up, improves the performance the next season despite two unprecedented points deductions.

The thanks from some fans? ‘HOOF’ ‘why is there such a love in for him’ ‘HOOF’ ‘walk away please you lost a pre-season game’ ‘

He practically saved the club from financial Armageddon but you can’t say that on here because if you do some hysterical shrieking banshee comes along to wail ‘why are you calling him a miracle worker, are you saying he’s better than Guardiola, 5 year contract for Dyche, HOOF’

Where’s the love in?

The love in for him is mental.

He kept us up, bravo, so did Lampard. Doing his bit but he’s limited and will need replacing eventually if we want to go anywhere.

He did a bit more than just keep us up. I agree that he's limited and eventually we will hopefully get to a place where we can sign a better and more progressive manager but he's doing better than I feel you're giving him value for here.

If we were not in the turmoil and no real ownership would he still be in charge, if we had foward looking ownership would he still be in charge. Not a chance.

Who've we sold?

The only first team player we sold under dyche was iwobi and harrison was a better replacement for him.

Even the reduction of the wage bill hasnt effected his first team.

Hes spent £60m on attackers so far during his time here and id imagine by time the window shuts it'll be more then that.

Also think people need to remember how lucky we were that we got a 3 week break when we did. After hed flogged the squad to death.

Spot on mate.

Any other manager would have turned inward and started bemoaning their luck...and you wouldn't have blamed them too much either.

Dyche threw his shoulders back and told the players they were professional footballers and that challenges like ours were part of being a professional. He exhibited coolness and calmness and the players responded.

There's too many of our fans who love their celebrity managers - managers that just cant take on the task right now at this football club.

We have the right man in our dugout - there's no question about that.
