Anyway, im not spending the next 2 weeks saying we should sack him, we should have sacked him in May.

On to the next game, we should have some better options for the manager with some injured players returning, its up to him to tackle the next games, a very tough game v Arsenal awaits us next.

Listen here. Just because I have a positive mental attitude and a different view to most over this it doesn't mean anything other than that. This is my 60th year as an Evertonian and I've seen a lot of managers come and go. I was confident we'd come back against Wimbledon when losing, even with Mike Walker as manager, because there is something about the fans at Goodison that makes the players fight to the very end, like Crystal Palace and Bournemouth. I don't want Dyche to be the manager in charge when we move into the new stadium but I think he will keep us in the Premier League until we do. I've never knee-jerked early in the season and that includes when we've started well. Bed-wet as much as you like but my sheets will always be dry.

How’s it “bed wetting” to just call a spade a spade? Dyche hasn’t just been here since the summer, he’s been here since January and his record is appalling. It’s not knee jerk whatsoever to say he’s doing a terrible job.

Sacking the manager will make absolutely no difference while Moshiri and Bill remain in charge. Especially when they would be picking a replacement.

I'm not a Dyche fan. But I dont support sacking him while owner and chairman continue to run the club into the ground. Just like I didnt support sacking Lampard last year either.

The real problems rest far above the manager.
Well I can't agree with an absolute like that.

There's every chance it won't make a difference, but since removing Bill and Moshiri is out of everyone's control, it's the one significant variable that might improve things.

It's not going to happen any time soon, regardless. We just have to hunker down and hope for the best.

I guess the question is who would we replace him with (exc Bainsey) - who could deal with a sub par defence, and an absolutely overrated Midfielder in Onana and get us playing effective football.(not saying it can’t be done btw, Dyche has disappointed me)

It’ll be interesting to see how the team lines up after the international break. There should be a fully fit squad then. Beto looks good, Danjuma has a couple of goals now, McNeil came in today, Harrison should be available, DCL too. The first team should be stronger and better options on the bench. Let’s see how the team performs and whether they can start to move up the table between now and Xmas.

Would have preferred to
go into the international break with a win in the league, but I'll take an away point. Last two unbeaten, couple of new faces in and hopefully Dom and McNeil fully fit and available soon. Let's hope Dyche can build on it.

As @Eggs keeps saying, let's see where we are after 10 games.
All I want is for the decision not to be made with a day left of the January window.

We are intergalactically bad at timing manager changes.

A pretty impossible question for me to answer.

I answered Potter last time it was posed and was told we have no chance of getting him and I cant even dispute that.

So unless I knew who fancied it and who didnt, no idea.

Despite my ramblings the last few pages, we have a manager and I just have to hope he can start picking up results soon.

I don't know if you were actually at the game but I don't believe there was anybody in the ground who believed we would come back from 2 nil down against Wimbledon.

What exactly do you want him to say after those results? He's the one managing a group of young men with frame confidence and you're on a forum. So easy to say what you've said, but if you were in that position, you'd be saying the exact same as him.
I'd rather he didn't keep bringing up the idea we had positive performances in 2 games we lost at home to awful sides.

I'd rather he was blunt and admitted we need to get much better in both 18 yard areas where it matters.

And I'd rather he had been honest about needing more players during the window.

I dont think he has the right credentials to manage a club of this stature and I dont think his views on what is good enough align with the fans views.

No striker - lose 3 with 0 goals.

Bring in a striker - score 2 and get a point in a tough away game..on the back of a midweek game where we also scored 2.

Beto comes in the summer, we're sitting on 7 points IMO.

Main worry is defence and midfield now. Onana and Gana aren't good enough to carry a whole season.
