Results the past 3 years dictate that he is mate.

It's not a blip - a team who survives by the skin of their teeth for successive seasons is relegation fodder.

He's kept that narrative since day one - but then in the same breath he'll say we didnt do what we need, consider that against what he said after Bournemouth.

Our first 11 is OK to stay up - but the reality of the game dictates we wont see that 11 enough.

If we had McNeil, Harrison and Beto we probably beat Fulham and Wolves.

First 11, fully fit, should be 12-15th IMO.

We've not had that and it's shown.

Lose Beto to a bad injury and then what?
Results the last 3 years under 3 widely considered bad managers, I may add.

I thought he was "unlucky" v Fulham, we created enough to win the game, cant really say the same for Wolves, but regardless, as ive said, hopefully we get some injured players back for after the International break and we can pick up some results.

Lose Beto and we have to hope DCL can stay fit, lose DCL and we have to hope that Chermo can step up, if Chermo cant, we have to hope Danjuma can, if Danjuma cant, we are screwed and then we plan for The Championship.

What other prem League team would you say is similar to ours?

I keep hearing that we have some good players. We do but enough of them?

When dyche was at Burnley, was he over achieving with that squad or did he have a similar squad to what he has now?

Better than Luton, sheff utd, Burnley?

Better than bournemouth, wolves fulham, palace, forest.

Better than west ham, Brentford, villa, Brighton.

Better than Chelsea, Newcastle, man utd, spurs

Better than man city, Liverpool, arsenal.

The above are what I think each squad is at. Where would you put Everton in that?

Good post mate.

I think we're with Everton/Wolves/Burnley/Sheff Utd/Luton.

Not sure where to place Palace now they've lost Zaha - either with us or alongside Forest/Bournemouth who have the depth we severely lack.

Forget Calvert-Lewin, Chermiti might be useful in a few years and Danjuma isn't a number 9 in the limited gametime I've seen him.

As much as im not banking on DCL, hes still an option, till hes not. I confess, I didnt pay much attention to the Doncaster game, so I didnt see how "bad" Chermo was, but im certainly not writing him off after 1 game and I do agree regarding Danjuma.

But for now, Beto is fit, McNeil is back and hopefully Harrison soon, if those 3 can stay fit, HUGE if given the club we support, but if they can stay fit and we dont get any other injuries, I see no obstacle for winning games.

But yes, if we suffer injuries, my expectations will drop.

Hang on lads I’m confused here. I thought the whole selling point of a manager like Dyche was that he could work with limited resources and get crap players playing to a mediocre standard to keep us stable? Are we now saying that he can’t work with our squad and we need to buy him a load of good players for him to be able to do his job?
There are a number of camps currently :

The Manager is bad, The players are bad, The owners are bad.

Some people think all 3, some people think 2, some people think 1 and some people think none of those statements are correct.

I waiver between being in 3 camps, to 2 camps, but never less than 2.

Would make for an interesting poll.

That's exactly what they said and exactly what they're saying now. Moving the goalposts to satisfy their internal monologue "Dyche is great, Dyche is infallible, Dyche isn't crap, despite all the evidence".

Loads of them have said 10 games is the point to judge him. Watch that change if we're still doing terribly then.

All of the above

Only I would add that the owners are very bad.

Hi all, just wanted to apologise for my little outburst yesterday, was a lethal mix, of a few too many bevvies, a poster winding me up and the ‘old’ me reared it’s head. It won’t happen again!

If we're in the bottom 3 after 10 games, then there will be nowhere to hide.

Granted 3 of those 10 were written off by the clowns who run the club as we did not sign Beto in good time.

I personally, would just like us to go a whole season without sacking a manager. So I'll be more willing to give leeway if the performances suggest light at the end of the tunnel, which at present for me, they do.

The draw was heartening mostly because we looked like a team capable of creating something round the opposition box.

The midfield is wayward beyond belief though and I have no idea what Dyche is attempting to achieve with Onana in particular. His use of Garner wide right is baffling. We cant afford to be wasting two talents like that, so he better get his thinking cap on or we'll be annihilated by most teams in this league.

As @Goat mentioned, McNeil back and Harrison on the pitch is key for Dyche playing the way he wants to play. It'll be required if those horrendous FBs are to be protected and encouraged forward to contribute at least something.
