I don’t give a monkeys about Brighton.

We’ve won about 3 away games in 2 yrs, to beat a top 6/7 team who are going for Europe 5-1 is a rare occurrence/fluke/ against the norm. Call it what you want, that’s what it was.

When was the last time we did that?

All results count. You can’t argue with that. Can’t just call one a fluke and all the others that fit your narrative true results.

Btw draws are results as well, I’m not sure why they’re being discounted from Dyche’s record as well (not by you but by others). His ppg for last season was better than most of our relegation competitors even though we had a very poor squad. That’s a fact.

You may know the stats, but I’d guess. Wolves, palace and Bournemouth had better ppg. And you’re praising one result, when there’s been plenty gone the other way

Why are we getting on the managers back already? It never ceases to amaze me how so many blues on here are happy to wade in on our managers.

Might he get sacked? Of course, but we can't really sack him now. I'd prefer to stay silent until he reaches the point were he has to be sacked. I don't mess around. I supported Lampard on here massively. I went quiet as it got worse, and reached the point of 'he's gotta go' quite quickly after Boxing Day.

And that's exactly what I will give this and every other manager. If I feel like I can't offer them my backing, I will stay silent, as opposed to ramping up the pressure. Results over the next month or so, will determine whether he is to be sacked. Let's hope it doesn't come to that though eh? EH?

3 of them have managed Brighton, wolves and Southampton in the premier league. And you think they wouldn’t join Everton

Brighton - out of our league
Wolves - Promised the gaffer he'd have money. Left when they didn't.

Hasenhuttl is an absolute fraud who hasn't found a job since being turfed out of Southampton. And anyone who gets pumped 9.0 in back to back seasons isn't someone you want with relegation threatened side.

We fire managers after 18 months. The only way we bring in one of those names is by paying them handsomely as they use it as a fall back - see Rafael Benitez and his £14million payout - not because we're "a big name"

We're not anymore. We're a relegation threatened club with no money and a basket case owner looking to sell.

I think he's done a reasonable job under the circumstances, and hope he stays. He'll be turfed out if things continue to deteriorate, that's what they do. You'd have to think the longer he is here, that it will be on merit, but they dithered for ages over Lampard and that almost cost us.

It does seem like his demeanour has changed in recent weeks, and he is feeling the pressure.

Whilst I hope he can turn it around, I have begun to think of the real possibility of another change by October / November which would just add more to the basket case reputation we have.

I still think it would be possible to recruit upwards, I don't think some foreign coaches would be so familiar with our struggles, and so wouldn't be put off as a result, and would see the Premier League as a chance to step up.

But when its Laurel and Hardy picking the manager, that's the part I have an issue with.

Fundamentally, I'm torn as to whether I should expect more from Dyche or not, given the issues. Is it enough to stay competitive in the bottom five all though the season? Sadly it probably is, though I would not wait for any gap at all to develop that cuts us adrift of 17th.

Have to give him 10 games in the prem. If he's got less than 10 points after that then he has to go. (After West ham game)
He has already had 22 premier league matches and has won 5 of them. He is actually doing worse this season that he did last season which takes some doing.

Don't think you need to worry though because whichever point you think enough is enough, you can add another couple of months to that as that is when the club will act. Maximum damage always has to be achieved first.

Could play what if about every game. Can’t just take the wins and explain them away as flukes but then claim all the losses are deserved.

If Keane’s goal had been allowed and the ball not ricocheted onto Pickford we could be sat here with points now. We’re not though, people seem to be revelling in that reality so they have to accept the Brighton win as well, much as it pains them to see their favourite team being beaten so heavily.

But you’re zeroing in on the very few wins and writing the defeats off as unlucky and undeserved so why can’t people do the reverse?

I’ve not written off the defeats though have I? I’ve just said 4 games isn’t enough to judge him on this season and in some of those games I have thought we’ve played well but we haven’t won so the results are what they are.

Last season I took every result (including the draws) that Dyche managed and when you look at the points gained from the moment he came in he was not in the bottom 3 of the league table.

Just picking certain stats like number of wins and then claiming that some of them were just lucky whilst completely overlooking draws is bizarre. The results are what they are. Also there’s nothing lucky or flukey about a 5-1 win. It wasn’t against ten men or thanks to three pens or anything. It was five legitimate goals.
