No mate we played well defending from the front, onto them forcing them into errors due to decent pressingThey were sloppy and made lots of unforced errors. We were lucky to catch them on such a bad day.

Where are you looking?! lolEverton do that most games. I dont see anyone taking the credit away form other teams when we do it.
Great win.

The usual comment is "yeah they scored 2 stupid goals but it's Everton what do you expect", out in the wild.
Need to use it and build on it otherwise it's pointless. If we can play like that most weeks then we should be able to avoid the bottom 3 easily imo.
The next 4 games will be same old Dyche doing everything wrong and playing for a 0:0 from the 1st minute.
That's my prediction, which I hope is wrong, but the slug has a habit of being like this.
I still believe we will play with a certain amount of cautionno mate - the home games now he knows e have to attack and play properly at goodison
Absolutely, dyche master classspot on today, against a well organised side. they didn't have a sniff in second half.
I'm gonna preface this post first of all by saying that I thought we were much, much better today and I deffo enjoyed the win as much as any other blue..
What I will say though is this - how utterly frustrating is this set of players??
Loads of people, including myself, questioned the starting XI today and rightly so. It was the same team that started the Arsenal game just with Garner instead of Danjuma - so naturally even more 'negative', at least on paper. Even the pundits on Sky picked up on it..
Yet what we saw today was a completely different side. One that barely allowed Brentford a chance to settle throughout most of the game and actually broke forward with a bit of quality and an actual idea of what we wanted to do... so it genuinely begs the question what on earth happened against Arsenal?? what is stopping these players from executing such a gameplay every single week??
Clearly the modern game is as much about mentality as it is about actual skill. Why did those players clearly believe that a win today was possible where it wasn't against Arsenal??
Inconsistency is what you get with a fairly average squad.I'm gonna preface this post first of all by saying that I thought we were much, much better today and I deffo enjoyed the win as much as any other blue..

Yes mate, probably. I thought Dyche would've tried to remove from that thoughfear?
The slug? Show our manager some more respect than that mate. We really do have some weapons amongst our fanbase imo.The next 4 games will be same old Dyche doing everything wrong and playing for a 0:0 from the 1st minute.
