Agree with this to an extent.

His reputation would be intact after keeping us up last season.
Sometimes you've got to cut your losses. Carlo Ancelotti speaks of each job having a natural cycle, and sometimes that cycle ends naturally before you would really like it to. That's one man who generally knows when to drop the lifeboat and get off the sinking ship.

Thelwell is different. He's totally incompetent. He has no future regardless so he's hanging on to the biggest job he'll ever have for dear life. Dyche at least has a shot at a decent club if he can engineer an elegant departure from this ghost ship.
Don’t agree….we really do not how effective anyone is being with Kenwright and Moshir in charge. You can’t sympathise with Dyche and blame Thelwell when no one knows for certain how hamstrung Thelwell has been in doing his job. It’s too simplistic. It would also be the third DoF to have failed alongside what…seven/eight managers? There’s a trend there that points to the idiots above

Dyche out, take Keane and Maupay with him. His tactics defending corners were exposed and he never reacted. Keane over Branthwaite is embarrassing. Paterson is a league one player, don’t play him again.

Garner needs must at RB. Graham Potter in.
Sad but true. Unfortunately he also needs to be in midfield. So naturally he’s been stuck on the right wing where we could’ve easily just played Danjuma or Dobbin and maybe had some semblance of a threat

Oh it definitely points to the clowns above - but Thelwell knew the limitations - as did Dyche - when he came in. I just don't see what Thelwell has to offer any club. Dyche at least has a record to point to. He might not have it for much longer, though, if he is not careful...

He was never a long term appointment. The club want him to keep the club ticking over in the PL until BMD. He saved us last year.

Exactly - we were in freefall after that useless Tory git tried to relegate us and Dyche came in and against all odds finished ahead of Leicester and Leeds.

We've started the season weaker with no McNeil, Coleman, Mina and Gray on the verge of leaving. Put McNeil, Coleman, Danjuma in the starting 11 with Che Che & Gnonto also hopefully signing and things will pick up 👍

We owe Dyche this season and financially until BMD is built and/or the clubs sold we wont be in a position to appoint a good enough replacement.

It didn't take you long to become a manager hater again.

I think Dyche is far from the problem, but if he cant get players to work his system he has no business stayoing here and should resign.
His system doesn't work though Dave that's the issue. It's too negative and players end up chasing shadows all the time. You simply have to offer more at this level now. Every time we had the ball Villa got it back easily because EFC players had nobody to pass too because we don't get forward quick enough because the setup doesn't allow it thus we ended up giving the ball back to Villa. He does need the injured players back I agree but he needs to come up with some answers to problems and do it quickly otherwise he is going to be on borrowed time, it was always going to be a big job for someone of Dyches limited ability lbh.

He knew what was coming hence his approach to Madrid. Even Brands said at one point Moshiri wanted to sack him and he had to argue to keep him in the post. The club at board and owner level are amateurs in a professional game.

Said i was happy with him for the season as he's a bit of a steady eddie but the keane thing is a complete bewilderment.
You cant surely be that stubborn, blind, stupid.
Its your job on the line pal.

Absolutely. The longer this ownership survives, the more likely it is that we don't.

Here is a great idea. Let's keep him in place for 3 months too long again just to make sure the entire season is destroyed. Kenwright and co need to go too of course but so does this fella. Definitely not the answer.

One’s area of performance is completely in the view of the public whilst another’s, has a lot of behind the scenes work as well eg footballing infrastructure alongside transfer activity. No one fully knows what Thelwell is doing behind the scenes - we simply do not know but wouldn’t it be odd if he also has failed as well as the two previous people in that role. Even if he did leave we either scrap the role or recruit for it and Pinky and Perky would be the two that appoint his successor.
