2023/24 Sean Dyche

My only big concern with him is that he keeps playing Keane and didn't demand Coady staying. Other than that he's working with what he's been given and it's on them. Our Midfield is the only positive (And Tarkowski and yeah Young) the rest are a disgrace, some can't even play football. Final third offers nothing. Every time we won the ball in the middle you're just looking and nobody is moving and if they do the first touch is gash. ooh gash.

Not me mate - I warned everyone when they were demanding Benitez be sacked so they could get Tory boy in to waste money on players like Dele and Maupay how it would play out. Benitez had the worst injury crisis to contend with and a £1.7m summer kitty yet has a better win % than both Lampard AND Dyche.

As usual FB92 was right.

Eff off Rafael

Scumbag kopite rat you are

The French police were right.

There is plenty out there but Everton look at PREMIER LEAGUE EXPERIENCE as the biggest thing....

Managers never managed in the PL before their current job....

Mikel Arteta
Andoni Iraola
Thomas Frank
Roberto De Zerbi
Vincent Kompany
Jurgen Klopp
Pep Guardiola
Erik Ten Hag
Steve Cooper
Ange Postecoglou

Yet Everton place so much importance on PL exeprience, same with players, I could list 100 good PL players that have never played in the PL before yet we get the ones that have and are 5h17e.....

You could easily make a list of awful managers who only managed once in the PL I guess.

I haven’t just used stats though, because in my other post I pointed out that tactical frailties I’ve witnessed.

Which have, regardless of striker, cost us games.

It’s when a manger becomes unwilling to move away from this that issues become apparent.

It’s why the top managers are top managers, because if they see something isn’t working they’ll immediately change it.

Now, the response will obviously be “but they have the players”, and while that is correct sometimes change is good. And a simple change of formation, system or personnel can change a game

If it doesn’t work, well at least there was acknowledgement that the issue had been seen and things done to rectify it. It’s then on the players and lack of ability

I agree with that to a point. But top managers don't change things if it's wrong, they've already done the work. Pep doesn't change anything cos he's got the best players to do what he says for example.

But it's levels.

If you're getting points against sides around you, you'll be okay. If you're get leathered by sides above that, you'll still be okay because you're doing better against your level.

The next level is improving performances against those sides.

We're not there yet. Signings change that. He's not been able to make that yet.

Dyche isn't flawless. A lot still don't like him. But a lot still have some lofty expectations we can't reach.

The only manager we've had that had a "plan b" or changed to suit the players was Ancelloti

Mate, I’ve seen plenty of top managers make subs after 20 minutes, 3 subs at half time; changes of systems after 15/20/25 minutes when it’s apparent that’s it not going as intended

Coady was a far better option than keane. There isnt more options worse than keane though tbf.

Nowhere near the money Fat man wasted on Patterson and Mykolenko who are both shocking. Fact is Dyche, Lampard, and Benitez are not who any blue wants in charge, they're all bang average managers. Also EVERY Everton manager has an injury crisis, it's part of the job!!

What top managers we comparing Dyche to this criteria then?

And you're talking once in a blue moon. Jose used to do it to show who's the boss at a new club. A gaffer making mass changes at half time is when you have quality competition on the bench to do that. And how many times did it pan out? Lots of factors and variables to say that's what "top managers do".

And if they do...they've never ever managed at Everton.

De Zerbi made 4 changes at half time last season against us. Still got pumped 5.1.
