First half worked well. Got the early goal and defended very comfortably and Brighton barely created anything.

Second half though they move Mitoma permanently back to left, put on Joao Pedro to play support striker and then take off Ferguson to put on Ansu Fati. That's when the momentum of the game swung and Brighton basically camped in the Park End half for a good half hour.
Nailed it.

Get your point mate but check the fixture list.

If the fixture list read City (a) Liverpool (a) Spurs (h) Newcastle (a) then I might be inclined to agree but I can see points available in our next few games.

If we play like we did at Brentford and West Ham then there’s no reason we can’t take points at Palace and Forest. United and Newcastle at home shouldn’t just be written off either.

I think we’ll be lower mid table. That’s where the quality of the squad probably has us. There’ll be times this season we’re looking under that and there’ll be times it feels we’re pulling away. I just don’t see us playing as poorly as Burnley Luton Sheffield United and Bournemouth at the moment. Neither does the league table. We’ve got some tricky fixtures but these teams are finding every fixture difficult.

No thanks, it was awful management. Good managers don’t make such foolish errors.

….here you go, fella. Available on Amazon;

Anti football. Brighton are a decent side we know that, but acting like they're prime Barcelona and us having about 17% at one point and then anytime we have it we just hoof it up/out. Played like we had 9 men or something.
It's dreadful football if you can call it that.

My take on Dyche footy- he is calculated. He is by no means boring, but he will concede possession in situations like today where we were obviously a little leggy.

We tend to (not every game) be VERY direct (not necessarily in a hoofball sense) but we try to transition quickly. As a result he takes a lot of risks on the ball as opposed to sitting on it which is why our possession doesn’t always match our shots/SOT. He plays purposeful footy. I like that. It’s not always perfect or effective but we haven’t looked this exciting in the attack since Bobby Mr. 72 Martinez. I’ll take it.

May as well put 9 keepers on the bench then. He could have got Patterson on but on another CB and virtually let Patterson man mark mitoma. He had options

Yeah maybe. With so little time left i wouldnt have even minded keane and godfrey just to be bodies. He hasnt got a great rep for making changes. Brighton changed nearly half their outfield team with fresh legs.

You've got to remember we scored in the 7th minute. We were always going to sit in after that. Not only are we set up for it but it has worked of late.

The game he plays upto 65/70 mins is fine ( although not easy on the eye )
But christ it's every game he won't put fresh legs on.
It's a massive downer for me & shows his stubbornness & limitations.

Don't forget how he defends for corners. It literally gives me eye aids and I can’t fathom how he continues with it when we still don't defend the area well and even if we do it likely gets picked up by the opposition on the edge of the area.

Generally we are a lot better so it's not like I'm saing he has to go but God why do managers not pick up on the obvious things that could take us to a better place.

…other than taking DCL off, I’m not sure there was an obvious substitution, especially when they were bossing possession.
I was thinking along the lines of replacing Young with Patterson around the 60 to 65 minute mark then maybe Harrison with Danjuma a bit later on, rather than waiting until the 90th minute to make a change. Mind you, Sean Dyche could've made those early changes and we end up getting beat, then fans would be asking why he made changes when we were winning etc.
