Beto does what Dom does when he's injured. It's what we've needed to play an effective system.

Finishing is wayward but that was the same at Udinese

Its improvement though isn’t it. Just because everything’s not perfect doesn’t mean there hasn’t been improvement.

We started yesterday with our best midfielder and striker out the squad away from home. In the past you may as well have just written that off before it even started. Now though we recreated a similar level of consistency to other away games because Beto could do the role DCL does for us and Gana is a decent replacement for Onana. We’re not seeing massive drop offs any more in key positions (except perhaps centre back) which is a step forward from where we’ve been the last few seasons.

Not me mate, i want someone that will put him into the stand, good player is Young Flash, proving it to. But hes prone to wilting after a kick.

Newcastle, move the ball quickly and young Nathan doesnt have the decision making yet i think to deak with that over 90 mins.

Either way our right side will be targeted - it has been all season whether its young Nathan or Young.
I think Patterson has a good 'kick in him plus he has more pace than the other two.

Anyway we all know its going to be Young again mate!!
If he never dropped him after last weeks game there is no chance he is dropping him after a clean sheet and win.

Pffft

Dyche is showing an air of calm amongst all the crap that's been sent our way. In a way he's got us performing well away from home. Just need some home form now and we'll ride out the 10 point deduction.

Honestly if the deduction sticks and Dyche keeps us up this season then considering what he walked into it will have been one hell of a job over 18 months to keep us up twice in different circumstances. Of course there’s always those who think just because our name is Everton we’re naturally better than most of the other teams in this league at the bottom but last season I genuinely thought we had one of the three worst squads and then incurring a ten point deduction just one transfer window later is difficult for most teams to take.

He’s doing a great job in my view. Of course there’s improvement but for the first time since Ancelotti came in we’re on an upward trajectory.

Feel the lad need games and a loan mate at this stage i think he needs experience. One thing Dyche is good at is developing defenders, he has a track record coming here of developing Keane, Mee, JT and Collins. This year we've seen Branthwaite prob turn into 100 mill player and Myko looking a super full back. If Dyche thinks hes off it, i think he prob is. TBH i still think hes very raw and inexperienced and needs the experience that comes with games week in and week out. We need to be looking to him at the start of next season.

Yes agree it will prob be Young again - but questionable if he can keep that up two games a week from now to the New Year. He will have a choice between Young Nathan and Coleman if he goes for Coleman, Paterson needs to go out on loan in my opinion. We're doing him no favors not letting him play games.

We are getting weekly mistakes from Young and probably Coleman when he's back due to their age and on a decline.

With Patterson i feel only playing him will make him better, yes there will be mistakes but it will improve him i believe, plus now Tarks has moved to the right side of the defence that can only help him also with his positioning.

I think he creates more space for the wingers (Harrison) because he will overlap which helps the team.

I never get the hate for dyche myself froma lot of fans. All the sub thing etc you could twist that type of stuff both ways. Certain players play when they shouldnt probably - again yes maybe you could twist that both ways. but results at the end of the day is what matters and without this deduction to think we would be 11th, and actually have the 2nd most points won away this season, with only spurs having more is some doing for a team that could not win away. The home form off course needs to change but bar the odd game we have actually played pretty well and should have won many of those home games - I still see a lot of people saying get rid of him which i myself find very bizarre

Leaving Beto on till the 81st minute is crazy. Dwight’s goal papered over a LOT of cracks today. Hopefully I didn’t speak too soon
Well good that Dyche has managed to paper over the cracks. I mean we seemingly havent got any money to fix the cracks that everyone knows are there. All the previous managers had left the cracks exposed for all to take advantage off. Kudos to Dyche!

I know there is a binary agreement about Paterson and people are entrenched mate - but i genuinely want whats best for his development - because next season he needs to be our starting right full, if not we are dropping 10-20 million on a new one. Id prefer not to do that.

He has very few senior games comparative to his age and at this stage i think he needs to be playing week in week out and cut the edges out of his game. Hes a player i can see the potential in and his best run for us, came when he could build momentum.

Your right he has mistakes in him now, we arent in a position in the table or in games were the margins between 3 points and 0 - give us the luxary of that - especially with alternatives - rightly or wrongly depending on your opinion - real world Dyche is going to play Nathan, ahead of Young and Coleman - so pragmatically we have to do what is best for his development and ours ahead of next season - thats mission critical.

All that being true, i want to see the lad out on loan playing week in, week out - he and we need it. I dont want to sleep walk into next season with Nathan not having a chance to build up experience and play week in and week out. Id like a loan to do for him, what it did for Branthwaite.

Fantastic paper work from Dyche then because no other f****r managed to bring a roll with them when they were at the helm. Long may the papering continue.

I said at the start of the year that we were in a league of the bottom 10 and a realistic expectation was to finish midtable in that league. The following year was to win it and then target WHU and Brentford maybe even Brighton.

Without the points deduction we are currently way ahead of what i felt was a realistic expectation. We are about top of that league of the bottom 10 and we have beaten, both WHU and Brentford at their places and were a fluke away from beating Brighton at home.

Thats incredible considering the skip fire Dyche took over when he got here and were we where.

That's the real table and we should publish it at every opportunity

Credit where and when its due and he deserves some at present, thought he had messed up with Young and at times it looked that way but what do I/We know when all is said and done. He needs to emulate the away mentality at home though for me and then we can say we've made the progress, given what he is dealing with then fair play to him, certainly hard to justify my criticism of him currently.
