Thing is, I keep looking at some of those home games we've lost and I can't come to any other conclusion other than that we've been unlucky and/or our players aren't great at converting chances (which I'm not sure he can fix). We've certainly created enough in the Fulham, Wolves, Luton and United games to have won them all.

I couldn't give you a coherent reason why we've taken the chances in away games, but not taken them at home.

no maupay on the end of them is one of the reasons

The only thing that could be tried is putting Garner a bit further forward maybe with Gueye and Onana behind him but it’s been a while since all three have been available and honestly he’s not going to drop Doucoure whilst he’s been scoring goals in Dyche’s time here

I think that is probably the medicine you have to take if you sign up for Dycheball!

It will be interesting to see what Thelwell looks to do in the next few windows in terms of recruiting for what Dyche wants! Someone like Danjuma has not worked and maybe if we had a bigger sample size of Dyche at Everton, Thelwell wouldn't of approached that move!

It still poses a question, how do we begin performing properly at home when opposition are more happy to give us the ball?

This is the answer! Personally I'd consider doubling up on that side with Liveremento likening to get forward by putting Patterson on right midfield instead of Harrison.

But as you say, we all know its the same XI from Saturday apart from possibly DCL for Beto if DCL is fit

He has to find more than one way of playing, actually think he is happier playing the bigger teams at home so he can set up in the defensive counter attacking formation. The problem is we arent winning either way against bigger or lesser teams.

Ive said many times he has to use the crowd and that is getting balls and bodies into the box on the front foot from the off.

He does, but he wont! I think that is fairly obvious that Dyche would prefer to die on the hill of his beliefs than try something different

He hasent used the crowd very well at all! He is conservative and try's to push a 'don't be emotional' narrative throughout the team! Which in fairness works pretty well away from home.......but at home, sometimes you just need to play off that emotion to give you that extra bit of belief

He wont bow down to the noise from us at home we know that, he will do what hes going to do.

He feels that getting results at home this is the best way, well until the results improve then he is wrong IMO.

I've had my pops at him (even as recent as Sunday) but in all fairness, he has steadied the ship, despite an enormous amount of outside chaos, and has us on an upward trajectory, which after the last few seasons shows his suitability.
I have no qualms in him continuing on into next season and working with Thelwell to continue transforming the squad.
