But the xG didnt matter, the only thing that mattered were results, the results have come, so everybody is happy.

If we went back to creating loads and not winning, things will change back.

People, like me, werent wrong, the results were poor, Dyche was underperforming with the players he had, recent results prove that, but now, hes very much overperforming. And long may it continue.

Last season a few people said he performed miracles, not for me, he had nothing in the bank for me, I wasnt impressed, he hadnt shown any value.

Its fair to say he has now, we wont win every game and we potentially will have a dip, but for now, hes got my full support and something in the bank that means that if a dip happens and results fall, I wont be as eager to call for his head. Not that I have this season, for the record, I did in May like.
Depends on what you are trying to achieve with your evaluation, your method is far too reductionist and you and many others were short sighted.

People were not just stating the results were poor, they insisted there was no improvement and Dyche's methods would fail to see an upturn in results to go with the upturn in performance, they were wrong.

Im fairly sure my only issues were results.

We have won our last 3 games, nobody is talking about xG any more, cos nobody cares.

Anyway, we all got what we wanted in the end.

There is a systems management saying, you have more chance of improving by doing the right things wrong than the wrong things right.

To have any fair assessment you are headed in the right direction xG and numerous other stats are useful, and they were all trending upwards. We passed the eye test aswell and iot was clear we were improving, the only realistic fear was that confidence would be drained if results didn't come to match performances. But Dyche was too good of a eader to let that happen.

Those who wanted to keep faith with Dycher early in the season based on analysing the side beyond results were correct, the rest of you badly badly wong.

This squad is still very poor and suffering from years of underfunding and mismanagement. Recent results only prove we have a better manager at the helm.

Having a good preseason is important for any manager.

Well I wasnt totally wrong, I never once called for his head when the season started and I did state a few times I would judge him when he had players available.

Im not claiming I didnt consider him a really bad manager or question whether he could produce our recent form, but in my defence I never called for his head beyond May.

#DycheOut

Won 6 of his 25 Premier League games
Lost 7 of the last 8 home games
Conceded 41 goals in those 25 games, 41!
Won just 22 points from those 25 games, that is a PPG of 0.88, never even close enough to keep us up. If we continue like that we will end the season with 31 points.....
PPG in the Premier League is WORSE THAN BENITEZ AND LAMPARD!!! and only 0.01 better than Mike Walker....

That was a pretty bad record.

I have called for his head many times, and you know what we might be calling for his head in February but lets hope not.

If he continues the form of the last 2 months then i dont think anyone will have a problem

If he has the same form as the first 6 weeks fans have a right to voice their concern, this is modern day football.
It can go south very quickly or look at say Villa where it can go North very quickly.

Yeah it’s a results business as the cliche goes. If any manager isn’t getting results then fans will have concerns. Nature of the beast. Long may the good form continue.

If it wasn't for a corrupt PL we'd be only a few points off 6th place now. There's a very Dogs Of War like quality to this Everton team.

In terms of problems with this club, the manager is down at the bottom of the list for me. Sean Dyche is just one of those tough/no nonsense old school managers.

That's what i like about him, although the footballing hipsters do like to look down their noses on these types for some reason. lol
This club has been blighted by hipsterism for far too long.

Oh, that BS. We said the team would start winning, and the xG was important to show the team was playing well and results would follow. Did results follow?

Meanwhile, your words this season, in this thread:

"Hes lost the dressing room now I see. Only a matter of time."
"If he persists with Doucs he will get sacked very quickly."
"He's a very crap manager, his record at Burnley highlights that more than anything."
"Hes an expert in failure."
"He stinks of failure."
"But if he loses on Saturday he's not stastically our worst manager, he's FACTUALLY our worst manager, EVER."
"He's 100% getting sacked, not even a doubt, the only question is how much damage he will be allowed to do before it happens."
"It pains me to admit this, but I'm close to wishing we get beat on Saturday just so it increases the chance he gets sacked. Get him gone for God's sake."

I like the fact hes said repeatedly he never gets too low after a defeat and never too high after a win and I reckon he'll have hammered that into them.

There's only been 2 games this season I've had a huge problem with. The 4-0 at Villa was a total disgrace from start to finish, and the fact we didn't even attempt to lay a finger on Arsenal at home. For me we've played alright and created a load of chances in our other defeats, and - even trying to be objective - I think every win we've got has been well earned and deserved.

That is a very good, consistent level of performance he's managed to get out of this team, most of whom have struggled badly for us previously.
