Its all about effort, fitness and not trying to be something you're not. Simple easy to follow instructions for footballers is definetly a good thing.

The other good thing is the variety in our play. Nobody has the first idea what to do with us when we have the ball because its so unpredictable. Same could be said when we haven't got the ball, two halves yesterday were poles apart in our approach.

He's making the opposition find solutions during the game, its pretty evident that most teams and players haven't got a clue, unless the coach tells them.

I’ll hold my hands up and happily admit that he isn’t the manager I was expecting him to be.

Even when we don’t have the ball we try and play on the front foot. And when we do have it we try and get from back to front quickly. And not necessarily by pumping it up to 2 big grocks, which is pretty much what I assumed would be our game plan.

Keep it up gaffer.

Obiously done a great job so far, I think this will be a really interesting couple weeks to see the effects of Dyche's fitness requirements. I think we have reaped dividends so far with how hard we work in each match, and how we outwork so many other teams. It goes without saying Id love to see that continue, but Im always curious with intense fitness to see if its the type to hold up over a full season or if players start to break down.

Now Im optimistic but the likes of Newcastle and City have squads that can rotate fresh players in during these congested fixtures. With yesterday being the first of 6 matches over the next 20 days will be interesting to see if we can match and exceed the other teams fitness levels or not.

At its most basic level this has been the biggest difference under Dyche. He got a load of (light hearted) stick with the bleep tests, focus on fitness etc but there has been a very noticeable improvement.

Admittedly, it probably more just shows how poor we've been last 2/3 seasons. And we will have to rotate over the coming weeks. Mind there's a mini break in January which will also be important.

That's the problem with trendy managers, they all think hoofers and cloggers can play like Barcelona and they fail because of it. Look at the state of Burnley.

Interesting to see what Emery is doing with the Villa actually, anyone watched them much?

The best part of realising someone is boss is when we have horrific song suggestions for them, so here’s another

Red haired Dyche
Stayed in the league
Won’t see us lose again
It’s filling up, our blue hearts

(Real lyrics:
Red, red wine, stay close to me
Don't let me be alone
It's tearing apart my blue heart)

Dyche hasn't just steadied the ship, he's tranformed the club from a sinking wreckage to a competitive speedboat.

I'd happily have Dyche in charge when we move to Bramley Moore.

I’d say he’s transformed us into a U Boat.

Not quick, not very easy on the eye but others hate coming up against us and what we lack in beauty , we make up for in effectiveness.

Was Martinez biggest flaw …. He took Wigan down because he was asking Titus bramble and steve Caldwell to play the ball around like they were Franz bekenbaur . It led to multiple “individual errors” which you cannot account for… well actually sometimes you can, stop asking players to play to their weaknesses , dyche has a system that is simple and the only real requirement is hard work and concentration , which these players have shown that they have

This fella has got me believing that we can pretty much win any game now no matter who we are playing. We wont of course, nobody does but it just shows the confidence and optimism he has installed in the fans as well as the team now. Haven't been this happy about the blues since Carlo was here.
