Managers have to make decisions (only one manager) but a lot of supporters will obviously put on the expert hats on and say he should have done this and that after the event. That is so easy if we don't get a result. Dyche called the team and set up believing it would work but it didn't. We didn't lose the match....we lost the shoot out (lottery). It is easy to cast blame after the event

Doing a good job. Cant win them all. Onana pen was so un-Dyche. No tarting around is our current motto and Onana will not forget that now.

That would be a tough game whether we won or lost tonight, next few games are tough ones especially with us having a few injuries. Hopefully we’ll get a few points out of them and stay clear of danger.

Chasing the game with an isolated James Garner who never got near the ball and was resorted to just running around.

The sub was Beto for Gueye. Drop Garner deep and let him get on the ball.

I have no issue with how we set up given the personnel but that sub in particular was wrong. And putting Onana as number 5 for pens was even worse.

Frustrating reading social media and the amount of Evertonians "not bothered" we're out because "its not the FA Cup" or "we need to focus on being 50 points clear of the mighty Luton Town".

BK has done a number on this fanbase.

Yes, in hindsight it was but the players and manager didn't have the benefit of hindsight................we do

I could hardly believe my eyes when the board went up. Yes, Tosin had DCL under wraps for much of the game, but the other CB wasn't anything special, and it would have been a great time to see if Tosin could handle DCL and Beto together. Guarantee you he couldn't.

Even if it wasn't for Gueye, why did we still need three CBs on the field when we're chasing that tying goal and a potential winner thereafter? He could have taken Keane off for a forward, or if that's not allowed in his mind, then throw Keane up top even. He's more composed in front of the opposition goal than his own most times anyway.

We just made it too easy for them.

I’d guarantee that is a minute percentage of the fanbase, the majority will be pig sick at going out that way

Yes but we didn't lose the game after 90 mins. We lost a shootout. Fulham have been a form side just like ourselves and that showed tonight through each team cancelling each other out
