I’d rather have seen Godfrey at left back and stuck with the 4411 than go three at the back with Keane. It might work away from home at some grounds but it invites pressure.

Thought he made subs at the right time, though I think Chermiti was due to come on and would have been a fresh pair of legs. Gueye was absolutely cabbages and would have been better bringing Metcalfe on just to keep the shape last 10 minutes.

I'm looking forward to hearing if Onana was selected as 5th penalty taker because he was slotting pens in that style all week though.

Just got in. All im going to say is i never expected a flat back four with branthwaite at left back and james garner as doucoures replacement behind the striker. It didnt work and wasnt changed either. Looked like he shoehorned keane in the team for me. Also changed our freekicks tonight. Two bad pens aside the players are giving their all no matter what formation or team selection. Just gutted.

How many shootouts have we actually won? In last 25 years I can only think on Man U Semi and Newcastle in this cup.

This was definitely not on Dyche. We were looking really likely to score and Fullham score a complete fluke of a goal to turn the momentum. We still came back and should have won in penalties if not for a poor penalty from Onana. We looked gassed so I’m not too bothered. We gave it a good go.
