2024/25 Sean Dyche

We have an academy lad who's an actual right back - he'll be rough and all but might as well give an actual right back a chance there really.
Let’s compare to Young. Young yesterday was caught out of position more than once, didn’t track runners, made a bad mistake, and responded by making a red card challenge. He has no pace to cover anything and can’t cross.

Even if all Dixon has is pace and some 1v1 defending ability, that covers a lot of things that Young can’t. Even if he makes the error ash did, he can recover without taking the attacker down as his only option. Put him next to Tarks who can provide the on field direction and let him have a run.

We got by fine for years with Coleman at right back who in his early years especially was a liability at the back.

The attacking side of his game made up for it though.

For the situation we currently find ourselves in changing manager is not the main issue we need to resolve.

At the moment we just need to stay in the Premier League.

Once the ownership situation is resolved will be the time to replace Dyche.

Currently we are a basketcase of a club and any half decent manager would be wary to join at the minute.
Disagree that the target this season should be to just stay in the PL. We secured 48 on field points last season. I think we have a slightly stronger squad this year and the teams that have come up are not significantly stronger than last year.

The highest points total in the last three years to have been relegated is 35 points, we have some leg room, to attempt to be a bit more attacking given the lack of goals. There needs to be some progression this year.

My target this year would be at least 50 - 55 points which is not an unreasonable target

I’ve a feeling one of N’Diaye or Lindstrom will be given the Danjuma treatment.
Don’t mind to an extent as long as there is competition for that role, and the most effective attacking option retains their place. If he keeps the guy in who is more defensively minded then we are just going to see the same this season.

If you were a Palace fan you’d have been banging on about how “safe pair of hands” Hodgson was the best man for the job last season and sacking him would’ve resulted in relegation. It’s an outdated mentality, firefighter managers aren’t a thing in this day and age. Once again this football club is 20 years behind the times, as ever. Sadly that includes much of the fanbase too.
Fantasy Island stuff this.

Yet the scum next door are more than happy to bring Bradley in at RB when they're chasing for CL.. this "they don't have experience" nonsense doesn't wash.
We know the current RB is completely finished for a fact, we don't know what the kid will or won't do if put in, but there's only one way to find out, and doing so when we have another 37 league games after means it's not life or death

Couldn't have said it better.
