2024/25 Sean Dyche

I prefixed it with ‘historically under us’.

It should be he isn’t as copper bottomed as ‘we’ may hope, or do you not want us to break out of any bad spell this season?
I personally have no faith in this manager , any scintilla of hope has eroded away this season.
So I do not share your relative confidence in survival under his erstwhile guidance.

We've had crap managers three years on the spin.
He’s not even close to a crap manager though, he’s very good as what he’s meant to do, get a club up or save them from relegation. He has. Ever been hired to take a club into Europe, he has always been hired to save a club or bring them back up and he’s been successful at that. We gave him a short contract to save us and then hopefully move on to someone else to take us the next step.

I'll rephrase it then
We've had a relegation survival level manager and that is what we've got. It's not possible to judge the squad on that. The manager is the most important piece

He’s evidently not very good at that because he’s failed to do it twice.

He is a poor manager mate, even the Burnley fans are saying now they wouldn't have him back there as they think the game has bypassed him and he has failed to adapt.

He's only had two clubs. Im not counting watford as they sacked him in under a year.
So its Burnley only that he got relegated with and then promoted with.
Unless we've got that to come. Relegation and then keep him for the promotion.
Lucky us.

He didn't even study up on football when out of work, by his own admission. Top managers are obsessed. Tried and tested tactics he can explain in a ten minute video and he pretends it has nothing to do with him when we're crap.

Hate to sound like a 'WerZ yOUr AmBITIion' type of blues, but come on? Surely we can do better than that.

He got a good points haul last season, mainly based on 2 good spells of form, and some poor teams in the lower half of the league, but shouldnt someone ask him 'what will you do now to push on?'

Standing still is what the club did for all those years under Kenwright while others over took over.

Dyche is the epitome of 'this worked in the past (to a certain degree) so i will continue to do so, that incudes having the same coaches, same backroom staff, same gaffers day, etc etc

All the best managers over the years, Ferguson, Guardiola, Klopp all have chopped and changed there assistants or coaching team to bring new ideas to the board, even Moyes did that.

We'd need a pretty miraculous one to come in and start getting goals from Harrison (relegated with Leeds), Doucoure (relegated with Watford) and McNeil (relegated with Burnley).

Relying on Calvert-Lewin who has one eye on the door, with Young and Mykolenko supporting from the flanks.

Said it for about 5 years on here now - lack of ability across the final third/goals in this team dictates a scrap.

13th-17th is this Everton team. Small margins Higher end if luck/injuries on our side, lower end if not.
