2024/25 Sean Dyche

Been good enough to keep us safe and that's what his job is.
I don’t think this is a bad take - I mean it’s true of course… I just think the circumstances surrounding our 2 periods of form last season are going to be difficult to replicate. Outside of those periods we were the worst team in the league.

It isn’t a coincidence we are the worst team in the league again so far this season.

And I think it’s a bigger risk assuming Dyche has it in him to sort it.

For example today he needed to make 5 subs. To match Bournemouth, take off tired players, and close out the game.

Even after going through that today he would do exactly the same thing again.

Even worse, still brought Beto on straight after they’d scored, making it even harder to keep hold of the ball. Any other manager would have told Beto to sit back down again and got Garner on for Coleman. Dyche’s performance today is a sackable offence.

I know we arent blessed but he managed to throw on the two worst players notorious for having no possession ability when we needed the complete opposite.
Its so bad its funny 🤣🤣🤣

Not during the game. During the game it’s on the players, the captain, the leaders in the team to talk the rest of them through it. Pickford, Seamus, Tarks, Gueye, Dom, all of them should’ve been slowing the game down, winning fouls and wasting time, telling each other to calm it down, keep hold of the ball, simple passes back to Pickford, see the game out, there was none of that.

Dyche gets two opportunities to speak to them properly, before kick off and half time. Managers can bark and wave the odd instruction across a noisy stadium but primarily, during the game he has to rely on the lads on the pitch to do their bit and guide the less experienced lads through. That is what disappointed me most today.
He should have done more subs and wasted time, the mentality comes from the manager

I’m not saying this.

How different players react to adversity is complex, you’re right. I’m saying it doesn’t come exclusively (or even for the most part) from the top, as others suggested.

The instructions and passion of the manager plays a part, but as you say, there are many other factors at play and at 2-1, you could see so many of them lost their heads.

And that right there is why they need a manager who can help them rather than do nothing.

What have the Dyche apologists got left, there is no defence whatsoever, he` gone and I think he knows that when a new owner comes in....

Stick a pin in him!
