2024/25 Sean Dyche

Bielsa was even longer unemployed by then. But wouldn't fit Everton 01/2023, he would better 09/2024 than Dyche.

And we talk about one of the highest rated managers by other top managers like Pep, Poch or Simeone.
We should never have been looking at Bielsa in the situation we were in. It tells you everything you need to know about the club and the way it's run, however, that the two candidates at the time were the almost diametrically opposed Sean Dyche and Marcello Bielsa. We're a complete madhouse.

It was more a case of you don't make an appointment like Bielsa midway into a season, Bielsa is a summer appointment so he has time to get stuck into the players and do his thing.

Nothing will change till Moshiri is gone. I'm not unhappy with Dyche being here given the working conditions, I'm unhappy with Everton from top to bottom. We need a fresh start. Remember that feeling a young Moyes gave us? He'd be sacked for his second season these days like. Bournemouth almost looked like we turned a corner let's hope there's better to come.

100% agree with all that mate. For me, nothing is changing here until we cut the head of the snake.

I remember it well, my memory is foggy but I thought it was his third season, we tanked after staying up - could be corrected, remember our last home game vs old City - they hammered us. Not important really, but a great example, I’m a big believer that every manager deserves time - Moyes a case in point. Improvement here like with Moyes will be incremental.

As the shell shock lifted after Bournemouth I’ve become weirdly encouraged, I saw a lot new to be hopeful about in the game.

Imo he prob was right for the job dyche because of the mess here. But needs show alot more if long term can see him most likely seeing the end of the season here. Is a massive choice with the amount of players we have left in contract at the end of the season. Will be baisically building a new team and style
And that’s why he should be here next summer great chance the rebuild frok
Top to bottom. Go and get an exciting manager

yea, people slag the club off a lot but I'm surprised not many pulled us up on that. Moshiiri making us look like a laughing stock with the two choices.
That hot on the heels of the Vitor Pereira sky interview in the previous process.
Hopefully those days are behind us now.

You should only do it, if you see if you are in a situation that allows you to give him some time even when the results don't come from the start. That wasn't the case at us, so you are right.

Bielsa is too old to return to high-level club football. He's 70 soon, he's had his day. If only we could find the next Bielsa.

Carsley is off the table now as he'll almost certainly get the England gig, so no idea who replaces Dyche, but Thelwell will have had several years to think of that. Still, we know as soon as Dyche is punted the club won't even have considered who they might want to bring in.

i think 99% of us have to agree here mate!

Dyche is a middle manager working with what he has. No real control of the staff beneath him and decisions above him

Hopefully the next time they pick a manager they turn off these filters

PL Experience
Not employed

Apparently the bobble has said it will cost 7/8 million to sack Dyche as he has it in his contract, even though he has 8 months left.

If results don't improve then Moshiri will still step in

That's why you don't sack and instead relieve of duties on gardening leave.

If we had a competent legal and contractual team it wouldn't be an issue.

It's us though so who knows?
