To be fair though, that is the type of player Burnley can attract, so his hands are a bit tied in that department.

For us to go ahead of someone 5 points ahead without requiring goal difference then we would need 6 points which is two wins.

The point I was making was 5 points is a lot of points for a team that is struggling.

Just to play devils advocate, Cork has been better than any of our centre mids so far this year and you’re kidding yourself if Wood doesn’t currently walk into our starting XI.

Not saying they’re terribly good, it just points out how tragic we currently are.

I'm not 100% sure the Everton manager market is that big mate.

Still worth chatting through the likely candidates. And it's pretty much summing up my fear that they all have more negatives than positives.

That's probably because they forewent youth development to make more funds available for players to push for promotion. Loads of clubs do it

Its a completely different club with a different set up and different goals to us.

They have a lot of young lads out on loan.
