The worst thing about the season other than no fans is that we topped the league at the start ,which put is in a strange position of expectancy . Along with signing James we have all been lulled into hoping for more than we deserved .
If this and if that doesn't change the fact ,in view of the changes needed still we all expected this position but hoped for more ,sadly we didn't get more but we did get some good wins .The crown on our season will be the signings that we make as I am sure Carlo knows much more than he is saying and he is saying we will improve the squad .
For me the downside is James as he doesn't seem to be committed to the club ,may be he has been preoccupied with the summer and for that I can forgive his reluctance to take a chance on fitness ,if I am correct then he owes Carlo a lot for letting him have his own way in picking games to play . We will need more players who can play near his level or he will for sure be off ,as would I playing with these clowns .
I hope Carlo has come to the same opinion as most of us and he has just been loyal when speaking to the press but surely the team starting next season will look a lot different from yesterday.

I'd say 6/10. There's a few positives to build upon. There's the nucleus of a decent team there. However, needs improvement to make the next step and be a contender for European places. Got to be looking for an additional 8-10 points next season. Getting mid to high 60 points always gives you a chance of Europa League or CL.
Biggest weakness is lack of goals outside of DCL. 47 goals scored was by far the worst total out of any of the Top 10. 48 conceded needs improving but not by much to be a Top 6 contender. Probably need to get to a point where goals conceded is reduced to low 40's and goals scored is improved by +15 next season. I'd base summer recruitment on this basis.

4/10 fumbled a grande opportunity. Look at our goal difference that really tells the whole story. We need goalscorers in the worse way no matter were they play. Last two months has been futile. Leicester is now a top six main stay with emerging West Ham and Leeds we are losing ground in a talented League.

Player Valuation: £35m
Need to find 20-30 more goals from the squad. Only DCL was anywhere near where we needed. Probably needed another 5 each from James and Richarlison a back up striker that could contribute 8-10 and 10 more from midfield. If we had achieved that we would have achieved top 4. Finding these players that improve the team squad is what will make the difference. Its a 6/10 for me as ultimately we did improve and we weren't that far from the top 4 but the surrender in some of the games was shameful.

Bet they struggle next season, we know how great he was at squeezing every ounce out of a small squad but we also know how that same small squad would struggle the next season with extra games and just running out of gas.
