Serious Question

When did EFC supporters become so passive to this dross……dont you care anymore?

Unfortunately, seeing a bit of a divide in people that went today to the match and those who didn't who are mocking those complaining

There should be an inquest into that today. For about the first 20 minutes we were on top. Then it went to pot and we lost 3 nil. Then the manager came out with some stupid stuff after the game. People are bound to be a bit annoyed by that

This is not helpful stuff 👇

maybe ur speaking to adults buddy who put poor sports results into context and realize so many things are more important than peculiar act like a douche to show devotion to soccer team on internets.

This is what I'm getting at:

The fans have tried at various times over the last decade to voice their displeasure and just get criticised and told to support the team.

The club don't demand high standards and are far too accepting of losing and failure.

Fans can only do so much. We need the club to start acting like a competitive and professional top flight organisation.

People should be free to voice their views and if that means criticising, so be it. Criticism is due after that performance (now, yesterday)

Why I'm kicking off if people start mocking those that are annoyed what we witnessed in the game and after. Perfectly valid to be annoyed. Fans shouldn't be silenced over it or ridiculed.

It's now midnight, I've had a few drinks and I'm still raging. 🤐
I feel your pain. I'm sitting here in Berlin at 1.05 AM nursing a Berliner Weisse wondering why I am so annoyed by the crap football club I have supported for 44 years.

I don't expect anything other than another dog fight for survival this season, but I was hoping for better than a home 0-3 capitulation to Champions League regulars Brighton and Hove Albion on day one.

Getting told it’s “kopite behaviour “ and “just get behind the team” for calling out the nonsense over the years , it’s not worth it, there is only so much a person can do and say in a position of supporter.

Something is very wrong when the average person who buys tickets to go to the match and gets fed up of what the club they care about has turned into gets held more to account than the people who are actually at the club and some earning in a month what the average fan might not earn in decades .

It also raises questions over what people at the club do think of the fans. If there is a distain for fans now , and I suspect there is from some individuals, then you can only imagine what the thinking is if large scale apathy occurred and those fans decided to spend their time and money on other things besides Everton.

Whilst I didn’t think what’s happening now and over the years would play out how it has, something had to give eventually.

I look at how other supporters are in times of difficulty and I think our fans get a unfair negative reputation and if anyone would spend some time studying what’s gone on, not just in the last three to four years, they could at least understand that taking a step forward and two or three back constantly and being told it’s wrong to take issue with it, is going to test the temperament of any group of supporters.

I once heard a Tottenham fan call us impatient when this is a club who reached a Championship league final and was playing great football with some excellent players and within a handful of months were screaming and shouting for the removal of a successor to the manager who got them to those heights.

100%

Our fans turned up there today having paid in to the club yet again. If they don't perform we're perfectly entitled to tell them. Manager included.

The fans are the club.

buddies u choose if u follow the sports team. if it makes u feel super sad and say crazy things then be adult and put energies and energies and worth into better things like a big boy.

Putting you on ignore. Pathetic stuff. :dodgy:

That is how I'm feeling too right now @Daytripper too 👇

Well written.

Under Kenwright the expectations were lowered bit by bit until we, the fans, realised we had no right to be anywhere near the top of the league.

Whilst we did achieve some decent finishes, our rivals far outspent us and by the end of his 'reign' (although he obviously refused to go away even after selling) we eventually found our way back towards the lower end of the table.

There was never any real threat from Everton to win anything under him - battered by Chelsea in one final, beaten by Liverpool in a semi final.

Ownership handed to Moshiri and things very quickly went from excitement to realising the fella doesn't have a clue and is making us worse.

Despite 10-odd managers coming and going (another to likely follow this season), nothing has changed, indicating the rot is deeply embedded in the club at boardroom level.

The fans are largely accepting of that now - offer them 17th place and Liverpool winning the treble then being bought by the Qatari Wealth Fund and buying Mbappe and Venicius Junior and they'd snap your hand off as it means we don't get relegated.

All true except the boardroom level thing mate.

To have rot in the boardroom you would actually need to have a board, we don't 😂

Sniderman did you get enough sleep too buddy? You were posting on here at 0030 and also at 0600.

I hope you aren’t getting too upset about people getting upset.

Take time to remember how beautiful life can be and that it’s only Everton forum.
