Serious Question

What can we do? The person who owns the club wants out have a manager and dof both last year of contracts. Dont even have a real board is not being passive just dont kno how we can change anything without a new owner
When you put it like that.. yeah we are screwed. Also our best striker in his last year as is Goodison. Great to be back isn't it.

A lot of fans have wanted this since moyes left.

The psychological scars Moyes left on this club are still being felt today. Ambition seems to be the dirtiest word.
What a weird thing to blame the decline of the club on.

You realise that Moyes went a couple of years without being able to even buy a player because of the gross mismanagement of the fat slug of a chairman don’t you?

When did EFC supporters become so passive to this dross……dont you care anymore?
Do you include yourself in this assessment of us as fans?? I'm curious to ask what you have done to be so proactive against our decline?? Doe sit include shouting really loudly, booing incessantly and legging young players at the end of games?? If so nice work!

Some evertonians started to accept mediocrity a long time ago. Many Evertonians applauded Bill Kenwright, when he appeared on the Big screen in the ground. They all now have the club that they deserve.

Probably the same people who regard Duncan Ferguson and David Unsworth as ‘legends’.

Standards have slipped massively over the last 30 years.

was just asking the question. Why so aggressive?

There comes a point when Rusty, your faithful hound, is shitting and peeing in the house, he limps everywhere and would just like to sit by the fire, getting annoyed with you if you disturb him - barely remembering who you are and selectively deaf.

You have a stiff scotch and lift the phone for the vet, planning solely to rely on happy memories from the past.

This is how I feel about Everton now.
This.

I’ve woke up with a terrible hangover and feeling slightly philosophical.

I still believe that Everton FC should never, ever be battered at home to Brighton.
I agree. You can lose against anyone. To be beaten, in that manner, by Brighton is a further stark indication of just how desperate things now are …

I’m sorry that is so wrong. Whilst there was a mentality of ‘knife to a gun fight’, that was mainly against the Sky six, against any other club we were largely competitive as denoted by our league finishes. Yes, Moyes was a little reserved, but this was largely driven by Kenwright’s Everton who commercially did not compete, and had no money so he had to make do with what he was given so financial resources we’re scarce. Reference was often made to us punching above our weight.

Prior to Kenrwrights Everton, Moyes got Preston promoted from the third tier to the second and nearly saw them promoted to the PL, and since leaving us despite a torrid time with a couple of clubs, won West Ham their first silverware in ages, and had them regularly finishing in their best league positions for ages.

By the way, his scars were being felt in that first season, when we won 72 points and 5th place, and was it his fault that thr club then significantly regressed under Kenwright and latterly Moshiri? No. Ambition wasn’t a dirty word for Moyes, but it was for Kenwright which meant he would have to give up his influence on the club. Under any other owner, I believe Moues would have made us more competitive.

The real shame in all of this, is even if only fleetingly, the start of a new season should be a (probably brief) time for some misplaced optimism - that pretty much evaporated at 1.45pm yesterday so we didn’t even get to kick off time.
