Your turning into billy graham the evangelist.
The more you try and tell posters not to have an opinion and bow to you the more they will get their point across.

I'm sorry if I wont join in with the pack of hyenas turning on our manager at a time when we're down.

Have some loyalty.

I'm not being holier than thou either. It's my opinion that it's a disgrace that any Evertonian would see a manager of ours in a spot of trouble, pile all the blame onto him, see him under pressure and want to contribute to his discomfort further by kicking him in the bollocks when he's down.

Mind you, it shouldn't be a surprise to me. I've seen Howard Kendall - Howard ****ing Kendall - get hounded out of this club.

I never understood the mindset back then and I dont now.

He's one of ours Martinez. He's under the cosh. That means we stand by him. Simple really.

Or maybe it's seen as old fashioned and a bit weak to offer support to him at this moment?

You know, we might look back on this currently difficult period and see it as an important one in our progression. Sometimes, adversity provides a good window to see things clearly. And Everton clearly need changes; changes in personnel and on-field leadership. I will judge Martinez by how he implements these...so I will watch the summer transfer window with interest, the pre-season build up with interest and season 2015/16 with a LOT of interest.
Couldn't agree more. Apart from running out of steam at the end of last season it's his first major blip.
It's how he comes through it and what he does next which will define him as a manager. I think Kenwright is 100% behind him so don't think giving him money will be a problem, I just hope some big names don't get restless and make raising funds easier for Bill.

Absolute fantastic post.
Agree wholeheartedly.
There is pure panic amongst Evertonians right now.

The way I see it is that where is the pressure to move him on coming from?

A small number of discontented fans and the usual pundits in the media, and let's face it the media love to cause us trouble...

I mentioned yesterday the factors contributing to our bad form. Whilst we've not been hitting the heights at all this year, our most recent form can only be a temporary blip given the quality of players and the manager we have.

Look at the quality of players Martinez has been able to attract or retain often on lower wages than could be obtained elsewhere. That tells me all we need to know about the man and his coaching capabilities.

no decent manager would touch this club with a ten foot long sh1tty stick if they thought they could get a first season in place like Martinez had and then be kicked out the door for getting in the bottom half of the table.
Total tripe. We're EVERTON FC FFS. And when you're getting paid to get results getting sacked for not doing so in what is a cut throat business comes with the territory -- the compensation's not bad either.

Completely agree Dave and I think at least on this occasion you and the Board will be in complete agreement.

The man has a plan, has attracted and retained high quality players, yet the first significant dip in form he's getting slaughtered by some of his own. I don't get it, it's not the way Blues do things.

Blimey Dave you used to come on here and slaughter Moyes every week!

Odds are dropping on us getting relegated.

Were 200/1 48hrs ago, now 50/1.

I do fear is will get worse, with dustbin in centre defence, we will need to score at least 2 goals a game to win.
