Pardew got Newcastle 5th one season.

Rodgers nearly won the title last season.

Can't judge a manager from one season, problem is we have looked awful all season and it went from martinez and his awful team selections to the players actually looking like they have given up. That's the problem for me has he lost the dressing room?

He lost the fans with his barkley and eto'o on the wings malarkey have the players actually got fed up with it? It's okay having players like barry, eto'o and lukaku when it's going well but these lads are winners and when it's going wrong can easily go off the boil, look at what happens at clubs like Utd, Spur, RS etc. When the manager loses the dressing room
He hasn't lost the fans though has he. Maybe 20% want him sacked and there's a fair few who won't agree with his tactics but saying he's lost the fans because he put Barkley on the wing along with Eto'o isn't exactly true

Never heard goodison boo when a teams 3-1 up mate. I think your underestimating the fans frustrations right now.

I didn't want him gone but I just don't see how things can improve. He and the team look lost.

Quite honestly, I think they your numbers are both low and high. It's the refusal to change what isn't working that's making everyone really really nervous. Should he change everything I would venture he has enough 'credit' to keep on going.

Should he stick to what's not working tho...

Nope I'm not underestimating anything mate
I've said previously that if the majority of fans want him gone then he will be gone. He doesn't look lost to me, he looks like a manager under pressure because eyes sending teams out who should be winning games but are a shower of absolute [Poor language removed] houses when it comes to getting stuck in. I'm not arsed what 11 he picks, any 11 he picks should be good enough to be putting in better performances than what we are seeing. That leaves me with 2 conclusions.

1. He's lost the dressing room.

2. The lads are at rock bottom confidence.

I'm going for number 2 mate. That's my opinion and not everyone will agree with it. I think @jinkyali has mentioned previously how many points we've lost from winning positions, how many mistakes have been made. A manager just can't legislate for 7 of his top players making him look like an absolute tit game in game out because they are like a gang of 3 year old who seem to struggle with basic concept of playing football.

Sorry mate, just seen this post and replied to another. Hopefully my other reply will answer this one as well and give my opinion on things

Corinthians 4:16-18
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Know what your saying mate but I just don't buy it that the players are this poor down to confidence. You can't go from last season to thus solely down to the team not high on confidence. Something else is seriously wrong atm imo

I'm struggling at the moment with him. I really am.

I'm not quite in the 'MARTINEZ OUT' camp but I can see me not being far away.

I don't really care how we did last season. Nor that he won the cup with Wigan. Nor that he got them relegated. Not that he did ok with Swansea.

He's doing sh*te right now. And there will be a time when enough is enough.

However, he has time to fix it. I'm far from 100% sure he can fix it though. Moyes had our support for longer than this and in a way Martinez deserves this too.

It's just very difficult to give it to him when everything, literally everything, looks terrible at the moment.

I've written a very confusing post there. But that's where I am at the moment. Confused. I want to give him support but he's not giving anything to me to make me support him.

I need a lie down.

(I didn't know what thread this was best to go in as there's about 4 saying the same thing)

I wouldn't sack him, at least not yet anyway. Needless to say this is one hell of a dire patch we are having, if you can call it a 'patch'. 27 points from 24 games is absolutely woeful.

Anyway, realistically Bobby has got this season and at least the first half of next season to sort things out. I expect the rest of this season to be more of what we've witnessed so far: picking up results here and there but being very inconsistent, plodding along to around 10th-14th (unless we see some business in January). It's going to be a long season that's for sure.

I don't expect much business in January but clearly there has to be quite a few changes in the summer. I sense one or two players are disrupting the feeling in the dressing room, namely Distin and Pienaar. Obviously I'm just guessing, I could be talking tripe, but that is what I would guess at what's happening. Neither of these two should be playing for Everton next season.

If we can get rid of the dead wood, keep hold of our best talent (Coleman, Stones, Barkley, Mirallas, McCarthy) and add a few quality players then next season looks much more promising in my opinion. We need a full group of lads that buy into what Martinez wants, if we can get proper harmony in the team again then we can be scary good.

I think the next 4-5 games will be pivotal mate. Results stay the same I think he will be out on his arse. Go on a winning run and everyone will be saying do we remember that time when he was sunder pressure. Things could go either way atm. Sad times but I've seen darker days than this and one win ( ideally on new years day!! ) and everything feels a little bit better.
