I've written a very confusing post there. But that's where I am at the moment. Confused. I want to give him support but he's not giving anything to me to make me support him.

Not trying to be smart here mate, i'm really not, but take a look at where we are in the table, take a close look.
Todays result has made things very clear.

I told you guys not to expect the same as last season, the league was a lot weaker. Who cares if you finish 7-8th... as long as you play good football and younger players have another season of progress. You was never going to finish above us this season.

Hey Bri baby! Unfortunately history goes against you on this seems as you've never finished about us.

Oh Bri, come on, let's just be friends. Why the war? Accept that we are miles better than you and your mother is a valley boy loving sweat who's tasted the juice of half the boys in the local rugby league and things are gonna be just A-OK!

Deffo bookmarking this post for some planned post-vaulting in May.

Cyril the Swan, we're coming for ya.

I'm struggling at the moment with him. I really am.

I'm not quite in the 'MARTINEZ OUT' camp but I can see me not being far away.

I don't really care how we did last season. Nor that he won the cup with Wigan. Nor that he got them relegated. Not that he did ok with Swansea.

He's doing sh*te right now. And there will be a time when enough is enough.

However, he has time to fix it. I'm far from 100% sure he can fix it though. Moyes had our support for longer than this and in a way Martinez deserves this too.

It's just very difficult to give it to him when everything, literally everything, looks terrible at the moment.

I need a lie down.

(I didn't know what thread this was best to go in as there's about 4 saying the same thing)

Same with me. Despite my criticisms of him I do want him to do well here its just so frustrating seeing him make simple errors week in week out. Ever since pre season things haven't been well.

With Moyes he never had a squad this talented when things were poor and when they were the team at least bounced back with some heart. Right now Martinez has both a fantastic side and also a side with no steel or fight in its belly.

That's the massively concerning thing for me.

Insanity is merely the ability to see into the future : seeking a mad clairvoyant of Spanish extraction, on loan with a view to a permanent deal.

Martinez must have learned a lot about his playing personnel (and, importantly, his leadership personnel) in the past few weeks. We EFC supporters will learn a lot about Martinez by how he responds to what he has learned. And I am talking about a summer transfer window here...

Given that RM is stuck in his way, I can see only two options:

1) Invest in loads of players who are comfortable playing Bob's way.

2) Invest in a new manager who has the wherewithal to get the best out of our current squad.

It saddens me to see the demise of Jags under the current style. He is still a fantastic defender but he is obviously struggling to marshall a defence that is not suited to that style.

The only chink of light I can see in Bob's tactics is the use of Baines in midfield, but I wonder if that was by design or necessity.

Worrying comments from Garbutt

The formation wasn't worked on

It surprised alot of the players

When we play well were conceding goals...when we play poorly were still conceding goals.

Never heard goodison boo when a teams 3-1 up mate. I think your underestimating the fans frustrations right now.

I didn't want him gone but I just don't see how things can improve. He and the team look lost.

We only booed because they kept passing the ball back to Howard, and we kept giving it away (inviting pressure). When Distin & Jags brings the ball out of defense, you just wonder how soon they are going to give away.

Our Midfielders take no responsibility when on the ball - Barkley and Mcgeady both gave the ball away against Newcastle, which resulted in goals against us.

Agree with this. He looks lost out there, hes the England centre half, just dont get it, feel very sorry for him

If we don't want the RS to have their best ever season by seeing us relegated then lose at Hull and RM has to go. I suspect if we win then Bruce will be sacked, despite what he achieved in the cup last year. That's the business football managers are in.
