No point in sacking the manager so close to a crucial game, he's got us here he might get us to the final.

Are you on the wind up?

Everton are not winning that game on Saturday with him in charge as the players do not want to know.

I'd put this back on the players if I was Bill. If sack Bobby and not even a point anyone. If let them sh!th0use players decide amongst themselves what the team and tactics should be.
If they don't want to play for the manager of Everton then they could decide that about any Everton manager. lets see what they think should be happening and come up with the tactics. They get off with this too lightly in my eyes.

We're not winning in Saturday in our current situation. Throw all responsibility on their shoulders of they know best.
This is as bad as what happened at Chelsea under Jose - except it worse co this is Everton FFS.

Just covering myself :) In my haste to vote pressed yes instead of NO..Bobby look into my doe eyes all around the eyes for the cull!!!...please,please kill him off before Saturday... In all the years following us never ever looked forward to going the match so little as I do Saturday..

What is the point of posting a league position after taking some of our wins off?

Martinez is a cup manager. The best shot of winning the cup is having him there.

There is no such thing as a 'cup manager'.

He is employed as manager of Everton FC for all games in all competitions, not just cup games.

If he is only any good in cup competitions, then he's no bloody good for a club who play in arguably the toughest league in the world.

Finding out the news yesterday that I've got a ticket for Wembley feels a lifetime ago now. I have zero faith that Martinez can get a result on Saturday.

Did like it until you said you feel for Martinez. He's a multi millionaire upsetting 100 of thousands of fans on a weekly basis.
As are the soft-arse players Ian....on the whole, Baines, Besic, Robles and Barry aside, they were garbage tonight.

I don think you're too far off the mark Ian....something went on at half time. Stones came out late and was white as a ghost....then left the pitch. Funes puts a nasty tackle in as he's all fired up just after half time. Gaz Baz comes off with a niggle. At the end Martinez had bloodshot eyes. I think there's been a parting of the ways at half-time and player power wins.
I just hope some of the players look inwardly at themselves and their performances over the last 12 months.

I genuinely feel for Martinez as he clearly wants to do well. The players have hung him out to dry tonight.

I've disagreed with your opinion quite a bit Tony, but think you may well be right. It does all add up, and adding in the moment Woods left the stands. Odd for sure, and I do feel for Martinez too. It's not his fault he's here despite his limitations. That's down to the board. The players are equally at fault for downing tools. But the sad cold reality is that the slide must be arrested, and given the downing of tools by the players, what can be addressed, is the manager. I can't see how he can be in charge for even one more training session. It's painful.
