You can play both on a Mac using Bootcamp, which boots the machine into Windows and operates like a PC due to the Intel chips in Mac's.

i cant get certain older games going because they require older systems to run, command and conquer 1 & 2 being prime examples.

Yeah, but all new Mac's are with Intel chips which means that they will do what XP and Vista can do. Which can only be a good thing, except when I have a design to do and i'm tempted over to the dark side to play Commandos 2. :)

the new intel chips are 64bit only?

so my amd systems are quality because they are backwards compatible.

i will find some pc only progs if i have too, unless you want to spill the beans.

I think Macs are great, but lets not elevate them to the status that you are. Sure, now Macs are faster because they use Intel chips, but Intel FIRST AND FOREMOST are making PC chips. PC's are so much cheaper than a comparable Mac. The graphics hardware out for PC's is unmatched, by ANYTHING (360 and PS3 included) - 2 768MB Nvidia 8800GTX's in SLI!!!! Gaming heaven right there!

Apple are no better than Microsoft. They have a draconian view on DRM (they fully believe in it). I read an interview with Bill Gates, when asked about DRM he responded 'Hmm, yeah. It's there' . There are hundreds of better alternative MP3 players out there, the ipod is really the 'Internet Explorer' of MP3 players.

Anyhoo, I am under no illusion about what my PC is. With the right software a PC is just as safe as your Mac. (Let the record show, I want a Mac, in conjunction with my PC)

Better mp3 players then the iPod? The difference between that and IE, is that IE is [Poor language removed] broke!!!!! and the iPod works like a dream. Everything Apple do, Gates copies, [Poor language removed] fact.

Right that's me down from my high horse. :)
