Would you all be happy if we signed no-one this window but announced that Gomis (think he is), Ince, McGeady and Fernando will be joining in the summer?

I do find it a little irksome that he's saying we don't really need to add. We had a similar situation last year and it fooked us up. We do need to add, and i think it does need to be more than 'one or two' a lot of the players i.e osman and naismith aren't good enough even when coming on. I know they have to be the right personalities but we do still need to add. We can't be so 'blase' about it just because we're doing well at the moment.

I see it as he is trying to complement the current players. Saying we dont need any players, implying they are good enough for top4 push.

I will never be happy to hear that Ince has signed for us mate, would make all thats been said about adding the right type of character just hot air, not a fan of McGeady either but thats just my opinion, Fernando is quality like, but doubt were still even talking to him

McGeady looking like a Summer free transfer. So, maybe we're going to step up our efforts to get Ince in this month? Would be happy with that! Ince in now, McGeady in the Summer.

Its manager speak 101 mate in a transfer window in January, its just a way of trying to lower prices for anyone your actually wanting, see the soundbytes out of city, arsenal, united, spurs for proof of that, their pretty much all saying similar things, he is leaving it open with the 'possibly add one or two we will see' so any club he negotiates with can't just call him for bullshine about his not signing anyone at all comments etc

McGeady is very similar to Holtby and Spurs, if we agree with him a free transfer for the summer, his parent club will tell us to take him now by buying the rest of his contract (wages) especially that they are on bad terms and he is not playing.

I think Martinez is playing the "Waiting game" and we will end up getting him this window for almost nothing

I'm not totally convinced when he also said no top performers will be leaving, still believe we will sell Baines if the right offer comes in

Might be true, but you are assuming a lot there.

Like the look of McGeady, i know you cant scout players on youtube but what does stand out is
PACY (I LOVE PACE)
Likes to try and get past his man (This is important when breaking down defences)
Good passser, and like to pass forward
His vision for forward passing looks good.

He could be better then Mirallas
