What's with all this summer talk of transfers more like so we can get people out of contract and freebies come on lads let's wake up here billy boys at it again

They have 2 1/2 days left to keep any form of credibility in my eyes.

Don't get me wrong, they lost my respect and crushed my aspirations years ago, but even the most happy, clappy, Kenwrong loving apologist would have to say enough is enough if they don't back the manager with funds in this window.

We are told they have the money repeatedly, even Greg O'Keefe said this 5 days ago - with the 2 injuries we suffered this week along with the ones he already said he was going to address, I will not accept for 1 minute that Martinez will not be wanting new faces until the summer.

Well said mate. I know you've been pretty neutral on the issue, so that comment just shows the severity of the situation we now find ourselves in.

...well, you cant factor those out of the equation. Those injuries to Oviedo and now Lukaku need addressing. Do we seriously hang our chances on the possibility that Traore gets fit and hits the ground running with a string of top performances and goals?

I think the answer to that for the owners is 'yes'. For us it shouldn't be.

i hope for our sake the answer's no. i have no idea if traore is available for villa or not. even if lukaku is out for only 4 weeks, we still need another. saving the money for lukaku in the summer knowing he'll be fit for the season as well as the same for traore and kone is fine.

but with all 3 injured, it's not the right way to go now. we'll only have 1 permanant striker in the summer, we have to address it now because of those injuries.

I agree mate. Sadly i think we almost certainly are heading to a deadline day passing without further additions, because I cant see Heitinga going anywhere.

These owners are on the verge of having shafted their new manager in two successive transfer windows...the promise of Kenwright to Martinez of letting him have player sales 'plus a few bob' is now in tatters.

It really isn't clever at all. The feller and his cohorts should be battered with sticks and chased down the road. They take the piss time after time after time after time.

No one will do anything about though, so the board won't be arsed. We all keep saying it's a disgrace etc but it happens every window, and nothing gets done.

Here's we're we get linked with players with no chance of signing or we have no chance of a work permit but it's ok Lukaku is back in 4 weeks

I totally agree
