Last bottle bought was Glenfiddich 15 yr old Solera Vat, been keeping an eye out and on special offer in local Tesco so bought it, and another this week as a birthday present for No2 son. An excellent whisky and very good value.
Same here - once had an unusual 16yo variety. Superb. Not a huge Glendfiddich fan, but I like that one. It's much better than their 18yo.
If possible, never touch a bottle of JW againwas at Johnny B. Good - a new (for here) restaurant that's like the [Poor language removed] offspring of Hard Rock Cafe and TGIFridays. Ok if expensive food... but a Dutch amigo texted me the news of impending signatures of our manager and celebrated with a Lagavulin 16. Place was so new, and anything outside Johnnie Walker is so alien that I got the first pour.
Hooray.
If possible, never touch a bottle of JW again
Pfft, whisky snob . I was given a bottle of JW "Explorers Club Collection" - " The Spice Road" , it's a pretty decent blend .If possible, never touch a bottle of JW again
Haven't heard of that one. Sounds decent by name though.Pfft, whisky snob . I was given a bottle of JW "Explorers Club Collection" - " The Spice Road" , it's a pretty decent blend .
Aye it's a complex whisky with rich flavours and exceptional smoothness. Matured in old oak casks for an intense finish inspired by the spice markets of Asia yet true to the Johnnie Walker signature. Or so they would have you believe.Haven't heard of that one. Sounds decent by name though.
