Sir Landon Of Donovan

Perhaps.

If MLS wanted to cash in, they'd have to make some concessions to be sure. That or he walks on a free when it's all said and done.

He's just worth more to MLS than he is to any foreign team. That is to say, he has value far beyond what he brings to the field.

To the mls, yes. But I, as an american, would much rather see him gain experience abroad and help our national team out.

I think, from any National teams perspective, you'd want your 30+ players to be coming back from the "Big leagues" after already gaining experience, and passing it on to the younger guys in the domestic competition. These younger guys are the one's that you want to head overseas for the experience.

He's got plenty of experience. You don't really improve any more at his age. Besides, he's played stints in the Prem and the Bundesliga already. If anything, as an American you don't want him getting worn down too much in England. Still want him in blue though!

I hadn't really thought about this before but if we thought signing Landon was a must then an even better scenario is not wanting him back because what we have is better! If we get things going early doors and all the signings pay off then i think we are in for exciting times.

We'd earn the transfer fee back just because of his name. I think merchandise sales would go to the roof in the states with Donovan in our side. And he's a class player who could play both winger, striker or behind the striker.

Landon is like a holiday romance. You think you love him and you think everything would be wonderful if he moved his whole life to be with you but the reality would almost certainly prove to be expensive and ultimately disappointing. Some things are better left in the hotel rooms of Malia or the football pitches of L.A

Who am I kidding. Please come back Landon, I love you!!

Howard, Tim. Cahill, Tim. Wiefing, Li. That policy either doesn't work or we're not competant enough to take advantage of it if it does.
What the bloody hell are you doing up at this time? Also I quite like the policy of buying them youngish and nurturing them. I'd prefer niang pretty much every time over donovan at their respective ages.
