Sir Landon Of Donovan

Problem solved. Too bad Moyes thinks Fellaini just HAS to play behind the striker.

Given his performances there this season, is it really that much of a stretch?

He's great in midfield as well but calling Moyes out after the start we and Fellaini have had is a bit absurd.

If it works, it works.

Tbf mate being 2nd in the league and Fellaini looking devastating constantly justifies his stance on Fellaini.

Mmmm, yeah that's a neat looking team.

Fellaini has been boss behind the striker, to be fair. But I also think he can play really well in that central midfield zone too so yeah.

Im against a Loan myself.

I see the "need" with Pienaar being away, but im not a fan of another Loan personally.

The question is whether Gueye, Naismith or Oviedo can step up, start four or five games in a row and not have us miss a step. If they can, great. If not, we'll be reduced to the likes of Osman, Coleman or Anichebe playing out of position there if we can't get Donovan.

I don't see what's absurd about it at all.

He's good behind the striker, he'd also probably be good at centre half. He is fantastic in the middle of the pitch.

Simply stating that we would be better with a player behind the striker who is a proper CAM.

It's all ifs buts and maybes.

Football's a results based business and that's exactly what we're getting. I know as well as you how well Fellaini can perform further back but we can't ignore his performances further forward, he's been fantastic.

It's also worth noting it's a more similar role to what he plays for Belgium.

BELGIUM!

Oh, I disagree strongly there. Ten years ago, maybe. But right now CBs are physically weak enough that having a player up the pitch, who will always win balls in the air is such an asset. That Outlet is really important to us and gives us the confidence to play proper football.

The argument about moving Fellaini back to me is that he's better than our other options at CM not that he's a weak spot at CAM. If I could I'd play him in both positions.

Ive got high hopes about Oviedo myself like.

We could play him at LB and Baines at RM.

MAKE IT HAPPEN MOIST!!!!!!!!

or Distin LB Oviedo LM Baines just off the Striker?!??!?!?!?!?!

I just dont feel we need him as much as we have in the past.

Yes Pienaar will be a huge loss and as you say, can the likes of Gueye and Naismith step up, cos I think Victor will be gone also?

So we would have Mirallas --- Oviedo with, Naismith --- Gueye as back up and the "likes" of Osman, possibly Barkley(BANTZZ), Coleman, PLUS, the young Scottish fella Kennedy.

I would prefer to go with Everton players tho mate, rather than "HI GAIS IM HERE FOR THE RAIN" players.

If Senegal and Nigeria qualify, we could lose both Gueye and Anichebe of course. I dunno anything about how close either of them are to their countries first team at the moment though.

I'd still have landon on a permanent transfer tbh. Gives some competition for places and I'd rather have him as cover for the wide positions or striker than any of the options we currently have. Someone will get injured at some point and besides we'll need a bigger squad if we get into Europe next season. By January, we'll have a better idea of what we can hope to achieve this season.
