Sir Landon Of Donovan

I think he's saying they shouldn't be bothered by being dropped occasionally, rather than being on the bench game after game. Obviously the latter would do your head in.

If Donovan comes back (which i think he will), then i don't see Moyes dropping Mirallas. I think he'd line the team up like this:

Howard
Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines
Donovan Gibson Fellaini Pienaar
Mirallas
Jelavic

Good enough to take on any team in the league.

I would have a nice candle lit fap to that...

Maybe swap Mirallas and Donovan? Either way though, the three behind Jelavic, along with Jelavic' movement would cause MASSIVE problems to defences.

I'd love him back and I'd love to see that team run out every week. My (long winded) point was basically we should take decisions based on the long term good of the side.

Hopefully the whole thing will become moot as he signs a 3yr deal in Jan.

With genuine pace all over the pitch and top pro's who all buy into a team ethic we'd be a force.

With Mirallas, Donovan, Pienaar all on the pitch you'll have them interchanging positions throughout a match. That said, best with Landon out wide for me - at least as his nominal position- in part for his defensive coverage when Coleman gets forward.

Exactly. Donovan in front of Coleman is the perfect mix imo, with Coleman and Mirallas on that side we look a little bit weak defensively.

You guys need to read the actual real article that this skysports article grabbed it from.

It goes into a lot more depth. And it says to me (among other things), and a lot of people out there, that this is LD saying he's bored with MLS and wants to move permanently to Everton.

And here's a nice article about his playmaking abilities.

They say never go back. Fortunately for Everton, Landon Donovan didn’t listen.

For what it's worth, LCAB is still saying January (though also saying it's still early, so who knows).
