Sir Landon Of Donovan

Not a single one...

I thought Peinaar was untouchable? He can do no wrong and is the only engine on the pitch week in and week out.
I mean his 1 goal and 4 assists this year completely make this team what it is.

/sarcasm. I know Peinaar has intangibles...but i hate that he rarely produces.

I don't care that you /sarcasm'd it, no face palm photo will suffice. Simply staggering.

Fact is we've got more than decent options in his positions. We are struggling for players in centre mid. IMO CM and goalkeeper are the priorities for us.

I'd give him half a season in the prem before he got found out and became another Billy......if he had the pace he used to have he could maybe get away with his limitations but as he's getting older......not saying he's bad at all but he would not boss games in the way some here would have you believe.

Donovan would be a stellar permenant signing. We would get 4, 5 Distin/Neville style years out of him, he is a complete athlete and I'm certain a lack of pace won't hamper his game, and its not even something we have to worry about for at least 18 months. I'd gave him back in an instant. Love the man.

Also the 'I'd rather have Vellios' shouts just made me laugh.

No offence mate but Neville is good the odd game, so even putting a comparison to Distin there is a bit.... yeah...

The I'd rather have Vellios shouts aren't laughable either, I seem to remember everyone on here calling for him to be started when he made sporadic sub appearances and was what? our 2nd top scorer during that time? once upon a time ago eh...

He was sh*t hot in January when he came and he wasn't exactly pacey then. Nobody else except Pienaar gets close to his assist figures.

Bily ? Really ?

Nailed it for me, hes just Billy, with a tan and a very large forehead.

This comment is perplexing. I think you're referring to his end product... How about last season, where he scored 4 and assisted 6 (our team high last season) in only 14 matches, dragging us up the table with him? His shooting can be be a bit wayward at times and his crossing less so but the sheer number of times he's able to get into those positions/put Baines into one of those positions negates it for the most part.

As for Donovan, if he's cheap, then get him. He should not be our number one priority though; we need bodies for centre mid if Moyes is going to persist with Fellaini playing in the more advanced role behind the striker and the acquisition of Donovan should not come before that is sorted.

Not about ability. About fitness. Neville has been consistent for years - i.e. as **** as he was now, 10 years ago - in fact if anything, much like a fine (albeit Aldi) wine he has improved over the last 2 years, and got better with age.

Edit: and Vellios is sh*t, with a sh*t attitude to match.

You know this how?

Donovan has never played RB. At least from my memory. Kay would definitely know.

No RB - for the USMNT or LA. He does provide cover when the RB bombs forward - which we pretty much never saw at Everton because he played with Phil Neville.

just listened to another one of his espn interviews. in the beginning of it he sounds like he wont be returning to the galaxy. another part of the interview he sounds like he has no interest in returning to everton. i guess only time will tell. will see come january 31st if he is here or not. i kinda have a feeling he will come, but i could see him not reporting for training until the end of the transfer window.

I didn't get no interest at all in Everton - just won't see him at Goodison in January. He needs a break.

Earlier in the interview referring to leaving Galaxy "'I've thought a lot about it - maybe I need something different. 8 years of anything is a long time."
