Sir Landon Of Donovan

People may disagree, but, his versatility could be key for us getting 4th place. In his time here he has played on both wings. He can also play as the second striker and as the out and out striker. Theres four positions covered by one player who gets the club and most importantly can deliver in the PL. No brainer for me. Just hope he is up for it.

Completely agree with this but would LD go to all the crap with the MLS and not be a guarenteed starter?

Everyone hates Osman.

And also hates winning headers in the final third.

You could put Kev on the left Osman central and Landon out right if you want. It gives us depth and options. And I prefer to play the ball on the ground myself... Can still get Felli into the box for crosses and such. Just looks tempting to me. That's all.

My position on Donovan is the same as it always was. Our best four attackers are Mirallas, Pienaar, Jelavic and Fellaini and Dnovan shouldn't start over any of them but he can replace all four if they're not available and be miles better then our current back up.

If it's a reasonable price, he's a huge asset but we shouldn't disrupt a very promising bunch of attackers to showhorn him in.

And we're playing ball on the ground with Pienaar, Kev, Osman and Fellaini. Hate the way our fans have labelled us as some sort of long ball team.

Literally nothing has changed from after the last loan deal when most people were saying they'd love him back. He's come out and made some statements that he's questioning what he wants to do next in his career or if he wants to retire, which he has done in the past and come back to the game just like nothing happened.

He's boss. Pretty much the best squad player you could have and i'd never look at him being in the starting 11 and go 'Oh no'. He's got the natural ability and hard work ethic which will keep him going long after he's lost his pace. Crucially, he probably wouldn't want mega wages either. I'd certainly expect him to be on less than Pienaar and Heitinga, for example.

Sign him up Moyes.

We played pretty football all Yesterday, we scored 2 goals due to a ball into the box, MAYBE aimed towards Fellaini and the 2nd with a hopeful punt into the box.

Sometimes you gotta aim high.

Not what I'm saying at all. We've passed it around very well this year (most of the time). We're not a long ball team. I just don't think we need Fellaini up the pitch to win those "long balls" if that's not our game. Donovan has outplayed Osman the two times he's been in on loan IMO. I like Osman though. No doubt he's still a quality little player in my mind, but I do see Landon as a boost.

This. I don't know how likely it is to happen, but as far as squad players go, Donovan would be top class.

"Donovan has outplayed Osman"?

Im not sure thats valid, Osman plays CM, Donovan would have to "out-play" Mirallas and Pienaar, something he cant do.
