Its a new era...we dont really know yet whats 'needed'

Abraham is 20 years old...DCL is 21.

Can you think of 3 players in the premier league of that age consistently playing and scoring?

I think we will fill the bench with u21s who by season end will have racked up a huge amount of game time and ousted some first teamers to the bench...and then sold.

Why? Were not finishing top 4.

Isnt it Tommy in American lol

Indeed ;)

I think we'll see a few left field young signings we probably dont rate but can play the system.

Its about time we signed some left sided players

In my head Zat we're bringing in a wideman, Kluivert or Lozano, AND another attacking midfielder who would compete/replace Siggy. I'd prefer the Turkish lad who I think is the more complete player as of now, rather than Maddison who probably has more potential but is still a work in progress. And it would give us more cashflow for our defensive purchases. But, as I said, if we go for Maddison I wouldn't be unhappy.

We have a more than competent wide man at the club already in Lookman.
All we need is a manager to have faith in him and play him.

On the whole we have 80% of a decent squad all ready, as ive said previously, we need a manager and coach to pick our best players in their best positions and give them a chance to work together and get to know each others game, something that didn't happen last season under our 2/3 managers.

We have some good young talent available to us which has not been given any sort of a chance to show what they can do.

Klassen, Vlasic, Lookman, Beni, JJK, Holgate and Sandro were thrown into a team devoid of confidence, under managers who where (a) under pressure to get results,( kooman) and (b) a temporary manager who was desperate to get the job full time ( Unsie). Our 3rd manager was never ever going to give youth a chance , because that is not what he does.

Is Maddison ( never heard of him tbh) really any better that Davies?
Is Kluivert ( heard of his dad) really any better than Lookman?
Is Lozano ( never heard of him either) really any better than Siggy?

We need to concentrate this transfer window on strengthen positions that really need addressing

We have enough good young players at the club already.

If we sell Klassen, Vlasic, Lookman, Sandro, Dowell etc, etc what message does that send out to any potential young players we might be interested in? " Come to Everton for 1 season, play a handful of games and then we will sell you?"

I hope our new management team take their time to properly assess our squad before going out and spending vasts amount of money on players that in all honestly are no better than we have already.

Other than Walcott and Lookman, we don't have any wide players worth mentioning

If there's one thing Silva is known for, it's utilising width and pace in his teams

Looking at Lozano, Promes, Kluivert etc makes perfect sense as one injury to Walcott or Lookman would leave us with Bolasie in the side (not sure where we would say Vlasic plays, but pace isn't an asset of his and think he may end up being loaned out anyway).

Maddison looks like a genuine prospect - glides with the ball and has lovely feet. Can also shoot from distance and takes a great set piece. He's the next Dele Alli - and what I mean by that is he's an obvious talent playing outside the top flight and whoever buys him has got themselves a great deal. Comparing him to Davies is bit unfair as they're totally different types of midfielder, but I would say that Maddison is in another league to Davies when it comes to creativity and goalscoring threat. If anything he looks like he would be playing in Sigurdsson's role rather than Davies's.

I take your point, but I think its misplaced slightly

How many seasons has Maddison been " gliding with the ball, shooting from distance and taking great set pieces?, and doesn't our Icelandic player shoot and score from distance, also he takes quite a good freekick too.

Do we intend to bin Siggy after a season?

Where does that leave Tom Davies then? Sell?

As far as i can see Maddison has had 1 season in the Championship with Norwich !!!!, and we want to spend 25 big ones on him.

Do you see him as starting as our main central midfielder in August?

I firmly believe that the younger players we have at our disposal, if played in the correct way and played by a manager who has belief in them are more than capable of performing in the Premier league.

We do need to look at Kenedy tho. :)

We bloody better be selling to buy this summer.

I cant see us getting half the amount being quoted on here for our cast offs.

Schnides 8M max
Besic 5M max ( more likley a free)
Williams free ( punctured lung isn't going to help)
Jags free ( as a thank you for his service)
Miralles 8M max
Bolassie 10M max
Rooney ( goin for nowt)
McCarthy ( going nowhere until next summer at the earliest, will need to prove his fitness before anybody looks at him)
Sandro ( 5M if we are lucky)
Niasse 15M ( the only 1 we might get anything decent for, but i want him to stay)
