Grealish aint going anywhere for 40 mil mate, it`s just a figure plucked out of the air by lazy journos.

Villa need to have a fire sale, due to the financial mess their in and I`d say that " no reasonable offer " would be refused for any of their players.

Plus, could you imagine Grealish let loose in London !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Isn't it 40mil that Villa need to find to clear FFP?

You'll have a better idea than me. Just a feeling that the new management team coming in will need loads of time to settle and make their minds up on what is needed, in and out.

This could mean we miss out on a few this summer.
Or the new management team already know who they want, regardless of having to get rid of some of the dross and are just going quietly about it, without letting the world know ?

Grealish... 40m... haha! In today's market, he's a 10m player at best. Has proven nothing whatsoever.

Let's just wait and see how he gets on.

The French league is notoriously difficult to get right. For every Hazard there's a Falcao.

Just wait and don't worry about them, they're miles ahead of us at the moment.
I remember Newcastle signing loads of players from France, did any of them work out? Time will tell..

If they got what they want money wise they will.

Klassen is on circa 80k per week plus a hefty loyalty bonus he will be paid per year of his contract.

Do you honestly think he will take a massive wage cut for just first team football?
PLUS he wants to be here. Cant understand how people want a guy who hasn't been given a go, who wants to be here and is as hard a worker as anyone to leave the club...Regardless of the 80k a week or 24m fee.

He hasn't been given a go yet three different managers last season never played him.

If i was getting paid 80k per week i would say the same and gladly sit on the bench.

Kids playing in the Under 10's get given 'a go'. Professional footballers playing in the Premier League actually have to be good enough in order to be selected for the first team.

Think of a massively overrated player who is currently playing in Europe and is considered one of, if not the best player in that team.

Then pick 3 or 4 players from the same team who are far superior...

After this, then see the overrated player sign for Everton for more than double what hes worth + on a massive salary...

That was Davy Klaassen 12months ago as i warned everyone on here.

On paper we were effectively signing a player that was valued at £15m-20m for around £5m. He was being linked with all the top Spanish sides, was the Spanish u-21 number 9 and had just scored around 18 goals for a struggling Malaga side.
On paper he was a great signing and we had to pay enormous wages to get him.

It’s a shame we don’t play on paper!

If we did play on paper then Klaassen (Ajax capatain and tons of goals / assists and previous seasons) and Keane (England centre back with league leading stats in clearances and blocks) would’ve all been great signings too.

Maybe just maybe a different manager with a proper coaching set up can retune these 3 players and make them into the players we thought we had signed.
You don’t go from good to crap overnight

Klaassen was consistently Ajaxs best player, stop chatting wham.

I think there is a lot in that. Sandro scored as many league goals as Salah did last season, in a better league, from a similar position in a league that translates better to players making the move to England. While it may sound churlish, but Liverpool got very lucky with Salah looking at his previous record, or maybe they saw things in his game the numbers didn't show, and we may have got very unlucky with Sandro. When you consider that context though 5 million was a snip.

I also believe you have to be careful writing people off who may have come into a new environment, been treated pretty badly and therefore not produced their best. The lad clearly has some ability and if he is to return I'd be quite happy for him to have another crack, perhaps a bit more under the radar, with less expectations. We should have learnt our lesson with Niasse really, that allowing people to get settled makes a big difference.

When he first came he reminded me of Radzinski in that he would run in behind. His finish against Atalanta was good. He is similar to Grey at Watford in a lot of ways who Silva wanted. There are many negatives about Silva, but one positive was meant to be his willingness and ability to coach on the training pitch and work with young players. I think Sandro could be one who benefits from that.

I am all for a clear out, particularly of lads who are of an age where they will not get any better, but we do have to be careful we don't end up trading one set of promoting young players for another set of promising young players without ever giving anyone time to settle. Yes as fans we always want new names, new exciting signings etc, but the best football clubs, or at least the ones we would try to emulate do that, they have a stability and give people a bit too long to prove themselves.

If someone takes him off us with the wages then that would be good, but if he stays there is enough raw resources there for Silva to work with.
