Summer Transfer Window 2017

Theres a reason Man City are spending big Pabbers...it looks very likely they are just about to receive a transfer ban similar to Athletico's so are doing their business early and because of it every-one is seeing their asses on here!

What have you heard or read about the possibility of them getting a transfer ban?

Google it...all over the internet...they tapped up a 15 year old last year from an Argentine club who complained to FIFA...Their case is heard on July 3rd and basically Barca, Real Madrid and Altheletico have been done for the same thing so hopefully City will get a good long ban!

This young 'Fifa' generation of supporters infuriates me every transfer window.

It's obvious we aren't going to attract the top top players that the likes of City et al lure.

We have a clear transfer/recruitment model with Steve Walsh at the head of it. It's early doors, we haven't publicly moved for a player yet, but that doesn't automatically mean we aren't busy behind the scenes.

We already have a decent squad and exciting academy prospects. But, yes we need to strengthen and compete with the best. This isn't going to happen by spunking 50 million on 84 rated CM maestro with potential 94 rating on a whim.

Be patient lads.
Not disputing your other points, but would you really say we have a 'clear transfer/recruitment model'?

It seems anything but to me at the moment. The players we've signed over the past 12 months don't really follow any particular pattern, some are seemingly Koeman signings (Stekelenburg and the apparently imminent Martina in particular) while others are apparently Walsh's doing, some have been for huge fees, some for peanuts, some are young and some old. I'm not saying that the club doesn't have a clear transfer plan, but if you can see what it is you're a better man than I.

Just out of interest, why would he know the position of the player before a name?

Source "We have signed someone"
WRD " Whats his position?"
Source " Left back, his name is......
WRD "Ok, thanks bye"

Why would he know position and not a name?
Because WRD is an absolute whopper just like the rest. Keane is "done", Schmeichel is "Done", Rooney will wear the number 9 with us next year, the Russian (Usmanov) will 100% be in by last Christmas, its 100% the Americans, has always been the Americans. 24 hours later Moshiri is announced.

Oh, and we apparently had a new board member arriving from BP a few months ago. Shock horror still waiting for that like..

An absolute whopper.

"It's done. But things can change so if it doesn't happen then it won't be done. So it's done, unless it's not."

We'll eventually sign a left back and those idiots will be saying they told us WRD was right. It's all so dumb.

"It's done. But things can change so if it doesn't happen then it won't be done. So it's done, unless it's not."

If something is 99% done, that technically means it's not done. It's like when someone says they're 99% sure. That literally means they're unsure. "Done" is an absolute unless we're talking about steaks.
