We've signed some good players but no stand out quality in terms of a "established" name. I would personally swerve Siggurdsson at the prices banded around for him and try bring in that isco type of player. It's all good us signing players like Keane and Pickford but we have to keep up with the club's above us who are bringing in the likes of Silva, Lacazette etc.
We can't do that right away. We need to convince those players to come here by rising higher on the table next season and battle for champions league spots. The reason those players go to those teams is because they can offer them that (well not arsenal this season).

We are building a core of a team that can start to challenge for those spots and then we can start bringing those bigger names in.

For me, Michael Keane is the best young centre-half in all of the Premier League.

If we get him ahead of the likes of Man Utd I will be very surprised indeed. And delighted, of course.

I really... Really want us to land Gylfi. Always been a fan since his Reading days. Great with the ball, Great composure, Unflappable..fantastic free kick taker.... And those eyes....I would drop £40,000,000 on Swansea's doorstep, Tell Gylfi to....

Just coz we can.

So??

Barca also got destroyed and they have some decent players don't you think? Lamar, Mbappe, Fabinho, Mendy, Bernardo are all great players with huge potential. And yes, when you're that young you can lose a game against a much more experienced side.

Huge potential yes I'd agree they all have that, but they are being talked about as being all amongst the best right now mate, hence the media and fans from teams linked with them all wetting themselves about them, they collectively had a great season, some individually did as well, but they are no way proven top level players yet after frankly no one had heard of most a year ago.

You cant guarantee that but Leicester was a miracle with that team, it happens once in a 100 years. Look at all their players now. Only Kante was/is worldclass. Monaco had much more individual quality. You wouldnt compare vardy to mbappe right?

Isn't that because we are way more familiar with then all though?

I could guarantee it though mate, a team that plays all out attacking like Monaco does can win a weak league by pasting the dross easily, no team playing that way has ever won this league, otherwise we'd be reminiscing about Newcastle title win or the rs wouldn't have gone so long without the title either.

Will bet anything that most of those Monaco players within 2-3 years will have been moved on by their buying teams or sitting on benches at the real big clubs.

One or two max will live up to the hype maybe.

Why do we hate Sunderland so much? First Gibson and now McGeady

So we signed Pickford for 25mil and now we're after another keeper for the same price? Seems like very lazy journalism that.

So we're gonna spend over fifty mil on two goalies.

LOL.

After the Keane deal is done, the time is NOW to focus on our goals dilemma.
With Lukaku leaving, we have the worst attack in probably the top 2 divisions as things stand.
Hoping the Lukaku fee is used to address this dilemma with 2 strikers.

Burton Albion have a better attack than us sans Lukaku?

You chat some utter dung fairly often.
