Long term centre back to partner keane would be boss, but I think we will look for that next season. I imagine Jags time will be up by then maybe.

Baines is good but not as spectacular as he used to be. Our left hand side isn't particularly a threat anymore imo, he seems to have lost that naughty cross he used to do on the regular.

That said, perhaps a better, more understanding left sided partner for Baines would do wonders. Ala Pienaar.

Baines is good enough still IMO although he isn't as good as he was.... not many are though to be fair. But he doesn't need replacing this window IMO... RB wouldn't either if Coleman was ok... but if we are in for a RB I would want to try and get one that is as good as we can get... signing cover players etc is something we used to do under Moyes .... if we want to break the top 4 we really need to go for it , signing coco is the sort of thing we would do to consolidate 7th ... imo

6th best defence in the league last season. Sure we need a bit more cover, but there's no need for blind panic. Pretty sure Ronald knows what's what here. Plenty of time left this window for strengthening.

I take it Kenny, Holgate and Pennington don't get included because you believe them to be substandard

If our defence is a "shambles" as you say then why was it so decent last season?

With Pickforfd in goal, Keane/Williams then 3 from Schederlin/Gueye/McCarthy/Barry/Besic/Davies forming a barrier and the likes of Klaassen/Sigurdsson providing even more cover in front of that we won't let in many goals even with a relatively weak defence.

And if we get enough freekicks we might even score occasionally too.

not sure if mentioned but, Terence Kongolo could be a shrewd signing. Left sided CB who can cover LB.

It is annoying. You're right we probably could get him pricewise. But he wouldn't give us a glimpse.

Those sorts are maybe 2 levels or so above where we are at the moment.
