Pleasing.
If we want to defend on the front foot he's a huge liability, the whale has no mobility left
Tbf my point was he had not won one in 5 years but some Tory back bencher has pulled me up on the particulars.Tennis is for tories so it's null and void
He fits the bill in meeting the criteria that we need. Left footed centre half that can conte at full back, but I suggest there wasn't any serious interest in the lad, as surely he would have joined koeman and klassen here, then go to palace.Riedewald would be a buy similar to when you are out in the supermarket buying essentials and you see a 12 bag of mini cheddars on the end cap for £1.
Worth adding for extra depth but not a priority as you have already set your sights on some extra special cracker bread and and a cheese platter during the big shop later in the week.
In this system our fullbacks need to be offering us energy and overlapping to provide width, a 33/34 year old Baines imo is not going to offer either.
Everything what was good about Baines is fading, his energy, his set pieces, crossing - are now very mediocre.
I thought he won the Australian open a few months back
Did you watch the game on Thursday? His passing was awful, and his reluctance to get forward and cross is baffling. He is still living off the notion that he was a free kick expert, his last, being West Ham away, Roms Debut.
He's definitely not the attacking force he was. And doesn't really matter how much love koeman has for him, once his levels drop he will be out the team.Williams ? Yeah I think so
Baines ? Don't be so sure.. koeman loves him as do I... just depends how we play and what's expected of him.. he's still a very good footballer
Said earlier in the summer, we should have been all over Robertson from hull. RS have good a good player for a paltry 8m in today's terms.Baines is a steady 6/10 guy now, but if we want to crack on ideally he'd be replaced especially if we're going to be relying on our fullbacks playing a big part in our attacking play
It's a priority imo, a couple of injuries with one being Keane and we are in [Poor language removed] streetI'm sure we will target another CB, but it's not a priority now we have Keane.
Need a striker first and foremost.
He's definitely not the attacking force he was. And doesn't really matter how much love koeman has for him, once his levels drop he will be out the team.
With potentially 60 games this season, Baines won't play all of them so gives someone a chance playing 15/20 games to impress.
I know he's 32 mate, I actually raised questions about next season when he will be 33/34 at Christmas mid season.Baines is 32 although I acknowledge he is not the force he once was I still think he will do a Joe next season given a good run without injury
