Alan 'Newcastle are operating in a different league to Everton' Pardew quote seems like a lifetime ago now. Their supporters are as deluded as the kopites for their entitlement that they should be challenging at the top for the major honours, with not even a history to back it up.
Saying that the tone from their supporters replying to that tweet, is that they now accept their position within the pecking order and it's certainly not in a different league to Everton. There are so many aspects of the club to be proud of at the moment, none more so than our academy.

Pardew was right in the end. Did he pay that lad his mars bar?

Baines is a steady 6/10 guy now, but if we want to crack on ideally he'd be replaced especially if we're going to be relying on our fullbacks playing a big part in our attacking play

Spot on if we sign a Giroud/Benteke then we have to bring in atleast 1 full back who can bomb forward and get balls into the box - Baines doesn't do it and who knows what player Seamus will be once he's back from that injury.

I personally would forget Siggurdson and Giroud and look to bring in Mahrez, William Jose, Tierney and possibly another CB. Line up like the below.

Pickford

Kenny Keane Williams Tierney
Klassen/Gana Morgs
Mahrez
Sandro Jose Rooney

Seamus never puts a cross in, he always checks back or cuts in, hopefully Koeman tells them to get it in the box more, that's why Kenny impressed in his brief appearance, he put a couple of lovely crosses in.

I think Kenny definitely deserves to be our number 1 until we can see if Coleman is back the same player or not and if we have to dip into the market next season for a new RB, I would love us to go for Bertrand from Saints think he would be great for us down the left hand side and would make Southampton fans fume even more which would be nice.

SANCHES TO MILAN?

The future of Portugal international Renato Sanches looks to be away from Bayern Munich after the 19-year-old made just six Bundesliga starts for the champions last season.

The 19-year-old is the latest player wanted by Milan who could agree a €7million loan fee.

Ac Milan are doing good business this summer

Speculate to accumulate they are doing what we should be doing and going for it with a good manager at the club. Bring in Van Dijk, a classy LB, a goal scorer like Benteke/Giroud and a Perisic and if we don't get top 4 then we sell and atleast make our money back in an inflated market.

We have only spent around £10 million net and still have Niasse and likely Barkley to leave yet, we should still be getting these deals done especially in the centre forward and defensive areas.

He's definitely not the attacking force he was. And doesn't really matter how much love koeman has for him, once his levels drop he will be out the team.

With potentially 60 games this season, Baines won't play all of them so gives someone a chance playing 15/20 games to impress.

If you look at what we have done this summer it is almost a complete rehaul of our line up. My guess is Koeman sees Baines as being good enough as a starter for this year (but we should probably get a cheap back up option because he wont play all the matches), but next summer I could see us buying our LB for the future. It seems like we are positioning ourselves to have a big summer this season and then the subsequent seasons we should only need to spend big on 1-2 positions instead of the 5 this season.
